Practice #8 - Morning Edition

I agree with that I don't think the QB of the future is on campus yet, but when will he be? I guess I'm just as frustrated as the next guy because every QB in the last 6 years has been all hype. Worleys arm strength is my main concern all the under thrown balls are setting up for disaster for some of these WR's, people say he's just tired he will improve with rest blah blah blah but he's never really had the arm strength. I mean has anyone ever wondered why Spurrier didn't offer him?

Bray wasn't all hype. I think most here would love to have him back this year. Or last

There is no denying that Peterman looks much better than the other two when it comes to throwing the ball. It ain't even close. Of course, there's more to being a QB than just passing against air.

Yeah, and I think that's the only reason he won't be starting. Peterman needs to read the defense better IMO. Dobbs "thinks" too much.

Guess the QB focus has taken the attention off the offensive line. I wonder if this is planned by bUTch?

Saw Peterman play in his senior year in high school. Would not at all be surprised to see him win the starting job if not this year definitely next. People don't realize how hurt he was in the Uf game and he just wasn't ready. I don't hate Worley either but I'm not a huge fan of Dobbs to be honest. Nothing personal just don't like his arm strength or delivery.

This might be a strange theory, but what if North is not really "hurt" and just pulled from practice to determine the WR depth chart closer. They take him out of the equation. He can also make a bad throw look good.

Elvis is still alive. He's with JFK looking for Bigfoot

He isn't hurt. Coaches have dialed him back to keep him from getting hurt. He is so physical at practice they are worried he will hurt himself.

Which to me is why cbj doesn't want to be asked about injuries. He was always gonna hold some key guys out to keep them healthy.

I think the QB's will be a lot better than last season. I imagine Butch and the coaches would say Peyton Manning needs to be a little more consistent. Same for the entire team they are never gonna praise any player to much. They will give him a thumbs up one day and needs to get better the next Butch wants these guys working hard right up until game one.

I had no idea we had so many college football analysts on VN. CBJ should fire his staff and just hire all of these experts. They obviously know what's going on in the players' minds better than the coaches that talk to them every day.

All kidding aside, I think everyone should just take a deep breath and relax. We aren't as bad off as everyone is making it seem, but we also won't win a NC this year. I trust that the coaching staff and the players are both working extremely hard to get better every day.

That's laughable

Fanbase may have an annurism at the thought of Peterman being our only backup. Even through he may very well be a much better option than Dobbs.

Assuming Worley can make it through the season taking all of the meaningful snaps it would be a moot point really.

At some point in the season Dobbs or Peterman will see the field in something other than mop up. IMO

What if Dobbs ends up being one of these guys who is a gamer? I mean he looks like crap in practice. But that spring game had us all really excited a few months ago...

I agree with this. I think Dobbs is battling to be the #2 right now.
Listen here you silly silly goose. If Dobbs was battling for #2 with someone else, that means there is a number one. Why haven't you named that starter yet coach? The other coach, Butch Jones, is apparently a silly silly too for believing the competition is still wide open. I'm sure that you will enlighten him.

You guys need to keep in mind that this is a message board and there is no prerequisite for your name to be Butch Jones before posting privileges are granted.

He thinks Dobbs is battling for #2 because like many others he thinks Worley is #1, as many do.
