Pearson:

(on being on SportsCenter) Nothing ever happened like that to me. I probably watched it 50 times.

@UTCoachZA is one of the best coaches. He's hard on us but it's for a good reason. I like his energy.

all of the QBs are doing a good job. It will be a hard decision for Coach Jones.

In spring I made plays off athleticism. Now I am working on my technique. I feel like I am so improved.

I really appreciate everything. I am always up. I have a good bond with everybody.

29 days man, I can't wait.

Seems like a humble, hungry football player.

Patrick Brown: I asked #Vols 5-star freshman Jalen Hurd about the perception he's too tall to play tailback. 'Come watch me play,' was his reply.

*Injury Updates: Two defensive lineman were attended to. A trainer put a sleeve around the left calf of Dewayne Hendrix. Danny O'Brien took a break to get his left ankle taped.

* UT's second-string offensive line appears to consist of: Dontavius Blair (left tackle), Austin Sanders (left guard), Ray Raulerson (center), Marques Pair (right guard) and Brett Kendrick (right tackle).

* There may come a time when freshman defensive end Derek Barnett shifts inside to a tackle position, especially as his 6-foot-3, 267-pound frame grows. But Barnett joined the defensive end group for individual drills. Former linebacker Curt Maggitt joined the group, along with Dewayne Hendrix.

*Fans might get a chance to see a practice as freshman defensive back Emmanuel Mosley does. He was spotted wearing a helmet camera during practice.
