Pray for missing Titanic Submersible

British Titanic submarine rescue mission with high-tech vehicle 'blocked by US officials'

A British-based firm has a vehicle that may save the five people trapped in the Atlantic Sea - but says the US government has blocked them from joining the mission, it is reported.

A team of deepwater specialists from Magellan Limited have been waiting to leave an airport in the Channel Islands since 7 pm on Monday but approval for take-off has yet to be received, the Telegraph reports.

Magellan has apparent clearance from the Ministry of Defence to leave UK airspace, but the American government has allegedly not authorised its departure.

Could be that they already have enough S&R assets in the area. They might not want more equipment around as they are working on finding the sub’s location with the noise sensors. Especially if the operators aren’t following directives from those in charge which might be the case as their story is on The Mirror’s platform. They might not have the best interests of the sub occupants at the top of their list.

This is real

Kid needs to be smacked and taken off of any and all assets in the will.

humans are humans. no one should suffer. I cannot imagine the feeling of helplessness those folks feel/felt. And days of agony.

Memes are completely irresponsible.
I'd guess the thing imploded when they first stopped receiving signals from it and there was no days of agony. Probably instantaneous.

Honestly it's disgusting. Some of the "eat the rich" posters and others taking satisfaction in the passengers potential deaths is psychotic behavior.

Amazing a minority achieves wealth and they’re automatically hated by the people who say they want to increase the wealth of minorities

its a lot more about the irony/history repeating itself, and laughing at people doing dumb things. I haven't seen anyone jump out say its wrong to laugh at Darwin Award winners, not sure why I should suddenly feel bad because these ones are rich.

I have laughed at plenty of memes that covered worse situations than this, and I don't see a reason to stop.

How many prayers does it take to find a little submarine in the ocean depths? One? Two? A million? I need a frame of reference.

You haven't seen the posts I'm describing, then. I'm not referring to the memes and people trying to make the best out of a horrific situation, I'm referring to those relishing their deaths and celebrating them.

Here are a few examples:

The final moments in that doomed submarine

If it is a debris field from the sub, then they most likely suffered an instantaneous death from implosion.

I keep saying, the bottom of the ocean is a more hostile environment than the Moon.

Was hoping for something positive but this didn’t look good from the beginning. If it imploded that would be a much better way to go than sitting in darkness for a couple days waiting to suffocate.

Let's not have a jibber-jabber fest here with banal responses like "Really". Say what you mean.

The Babylon Bee was reporting on the political philosophy of real people. It is what it is.

Nobody cares what I think about their politics. These people are not trying to be funny. At least not funny enough to laugh. It's totally philosophical.

People who are actually funny, if somebody thinks it's distasteful, then I say that's probably a nice person. I'm not the kind of person would "argue" a simple matter of taste.
