Please pardon the thread revival. After three months of living in hospital rooms, I was discharged yesterday evening and just enjoyed my first full day at home since March 16.

I've had my prosthetic leg for a week and am able to walk short distances with a walker. The real road to recovery has just begun. Thanks for your thoughts and prayers!

And the leg? It's carbon fiber black, and I'm getting an orange Power T applique for the side.

This may kind of be a weird thing to say, but my wife and I were talking the other day and we both agreed the modern prosthetic legs are pretty cool looking. The carbon/black/robotic looking legs (as opposed to the old "try to look like a real leg" legs) are cool enough looking that I don't think I would be nearly as devastated to lose a leg as I would have been before they were developed.

Wear it proudly friend, it's pretty bad*** IMO. Especially with that T on it.
