Pre-season Predictions

I'm curious, I see a number of people think Tenn is going to score 30 on the Ducks, do you guys think your offense will realistically score in the 30s? Aren't you guys going with a new QB and new offense this year. Yes, you've got a great offensive line, excellent young talent at WR. And a very good RB or two.

TBH, we don't know what to expect this year. As long as we get rid of the Dooley funk we will be happy campers. What we do know is that CBJ has brought a level of energy that Knoxville hasn't seen in some time. I don't expect us to win more than 6 this year. What I do expect to see is a well conditioned and disciplined team that will progress from game to game.

Oregons offense will be stellar. That's a given. However. Jones is accustomed or has experience with how Oregons offense will flow unlike Dooley who was beating them at the half 4 years Ago. Do I think we'll win,no. I do think it'll be a close game though. 21-17Ducks.

I'm well aware of the transition Oregon will face with Helfrich moving from offensive coordinator to head coach. Oregon has made this successfully in the past. Brooks went to the NFL and OC Bellotti took over, Bellotti became AD and OC Kelly took over, Kelly went to the NFL and Helfrich is taking over. It's not as unsettling as bringing in a new guy with a new system and players having to learn coaches, playbooks, etc all over. So I'm not so worried about the Duck's transition.

And I was just curious about Tenn scoring 30 in this game. I think it will be a low scoring game by both teams. 28 - 17 or 35 - 21, something along those lines.

holtridge, I hate your predictions, but that is probably one of the most realistic ones I've seen so far.

Anyhow, there's definitely enough participants to determine who wins the free tickets, but keep the entries coming in. I'll post a spreadsheet and a few "rules" closer to the season opener.

Im sure itll be like the first game the ducks will pull away in the second half.

Alright, here is what I have so far. Everyone is still welcome to continue making submissions until AUGUST 23RD . Also, if you want to change some or all of your predictions, QUOTE your original message and include the change at the bottom. All unquoted changes will be ommitted. DO NOT say I didn't warn you, because I will neither count your sh*t nor be your father. I will not count any submissions or changes AFTER August 23rd. I will also post the rules and point system on or shortly before THAT day.

Edit: For those just now tuning in, this is a full-blown pre-season prediction. Post your score predictions for EVERY game, and include a Bowl game if you want (and if you give us 6+ wins).

I will purchase two tickets to a decent+ UT game (home or away, your choice) (ie, an SEC game or strong OOC opponent) for the winner.

I'm just drinking H2O! These players, predominately, were ranked in the top 25 D in the country two years ago, before Sunseri came in and tried to change things up..
