It's the Pirates so...

5 2/3IP 7K 3BB 2ER on about 100 pitches before getting yanked. Considering the crapitude of the Nationals offense, I will say that is a pretty solid ND.

i just want to stop hearing his name. i can't watch anything about baseball without hearing conversation on how awesome he is.

6 INN, 5 H, 3 BB, 1 ER, 8K and a W...I'm with Blu though, I'm tired of hearing about him already.

They do talk about him a lot but they also talk a lot about Jason Heyward and I bet that is annoying to non Braves fans.

Yeah and this is the Nats we are talking about, could you image the ad nauseum hype if he was debuting for the Yankees or the Sox?

Definitely a 100 pitch limit. I'm going with 6.2 innings 6K 3BB 4 hits 2 er and a big, fat W for the Nats.

Heyward has been raking all year long...dude has yet to put on a MLB uniform, that is the difference.

He'll be better than Heyward, for their respective positions. I have full confidence in that.

it has. the first at bat homerun did not help the matter either. but heyward is legit, i'll give him that. but the constant live look ins with strasburg have been a bit much. but i agree, thank god he is not playing in philly, new york, or boston. we would have been having ever more strasburg talk rammed into our sports viewing.

The reason he is so talked about is that he has done nothing to disprove all the hype. In fact, he has simply added to it. I don't get the animosity towards him.

Just watch him pitch once, and see if you don't marvel at his abilities.

I would take that bet all day...Heyward will be a guy who hits over .300, 30-40 HR's, 100-120 RBI's...that is elite talent...he has already proved that he is on that level...he is also 4 years younger as well.

Guess we'll just have to wait and see...but Strasburg is the real deal and aces are harder to come by than anything else.

I expect that he will be dominant later in the year and maybe even by the end of the month, but I think he will get shelled in his first start. 3 innings and 6 runs, 3BB, 4K. I could easily be wrong though.

Agreed. I'm so sick of it, I hope he goes Rick Ankiel.

You guys will love Tuesday then, because ESPN will be live from Nationals Park the entire day and night leading up to Strasburg's start.
