Predict The 2 Deep After Fall camp

Offense:
QB: 1. Worley 2. Dobbs
RB: 1. Lane 2. Hurd* 3. Scott*
WR: 1. North 2. Malone* 3. Howard 4. Pearson*

LT: 1. Blair* 2. Gilliam
LG: 1. Jackson 2. Kenrick/Sanders
C: 1. Crowder 2. Thomas*/Raulerson* (i think Raulerson will be RS)
RG: 1. Kerbyson 2. Weisman
RT: 1. Thomas* 2. Sanders/Kerbyson

TE: 1. Wolfe* 2. Helm*/Downs

Defense:
DE: 1. Maggitt 2. Hendrix
DT: 1. Saulsberry 2. J. Williams 3. Sawyers*
DT: 1. Obrian 2. O. Williams*
DE: 1. Vereen 2. Barnett*/Jak. Johnson*

OLB: 1. Weatherd* 2. Bynum
MLB: 1 Johnson 2. King
OLB: 1. Reeves-maybin 2. Bates*

SS: 1. TKjr.* 2. McNeil
FS: 1. Randolph 2. Swafford
CB: 1. Sutton 2. Coleman/Gaulden*
CB: 1. Ev. Berry* 2. Moseley*
NB: 1. Coleman 2. Payne* 3. Ell. Berry*

Okay, I used * to indicate the newcomers in the lineup. Obviously, imo, some players that start will back up other positions, we just don't have enough depth to avoid this. So if injuries occur we might have to move players around to diff. positions to keep the best players on the field.

Another thing that sorta screwed with me were players like Cortez McDowell, I can see him in the two deep but I'm not sure which safety position he projects best at. Also, guys like riyahd jones and lemond Johnson, who are in their second year in the system, may get some reps (jones at CB, Johnson at safety). All this is my opinion, but I see a better line up than last years, I see more talent (although less experience). It's gonna be exciting to see who comes out of nowhere and makes an impact. Good times are coming! Go Vols!

Edit: also, I forgot about Foreman, I can definitely see him in the two deep (maybe starting) opposite Sutton.

This guy gets it...I agree with Foreman, sounded like coaches liked his aggressiveness at cb out of spring. And I agree that Howard is going to start...CBJ said at media days that he has had a great off-season...despite missing half of it. The Devrin situation is tricky though...we all kn ow the upside that Scott has, but I think they like Young's dependability and experience with the rock. Wouldn't surprise me to see him run a lot of sweeps out of backfield.
There's no way that Wiesman doesn't get pt this year...no redshirt for him.
And anyone who thinks Peterman has a chance to play this year, barring injury to other two, is insane.
GBO...soon.

I have to disagree on a few. Dobbs would have to have an absolutely amazing fall to get the nod over Worley and I am not so sure that Peterman is out of the 2 deep race. Just to be clear, I think Dobbs has a good future with us.

No way Lane doesn't come out a starter. Lane is better than some seem to think. Hurd is a beast but 3 years at the college level with game reps is not easy to beat out.

Slot receiver will be Pig's to start. Any receiver that does not play this year is headed for a redshirt.

No way downs is better than Helm or Wolf.

The 2 deep on the o-line is just convoluted. We need more bodies to have a true 2 deep.

Your are probably not far off on the defense. CB is a toss up. Lots of good players. Mosely see the field as well. The youth at corner is a big step up from last year's starters.

Medly is about to have a busy year. Young is a better return man than we give him credit for. That is his job coming out of fall.

QB: Worley ; Peterman
RB: Lane ; Hurd
WR: North, Malone, Howard; Croom , Smith , Pearson
TE: Wolf ; Helm
LT: Blair
LG: Jackson
C: Crowder
RG: Kerbyson
RT: Thomas

DE: Maggit , Vereen ; Hendrix , Jak. Johnson
DT: O. Williams, J. Williams ; O'Brien , Barnett
OLB: Reeves-Mabin, Bates ;Weatherd , Berry
MLB: Johnson ; Bryant
Nickle: Coleman ; Foreman
CB: Sutton , Payne ; Gauldin , Berry
FS: Randolph ; Swafford
SS: Kelly ; McNeil

K: Medley
P: Medley
KR: Young , Pearson ; Hurd , Malone
PR: Young , Pearson

Dobbs will not start unless we go 0-4 to start the year or Worley is injured in fall camp.

Then in big letters WE ARE SCREWED. If Dobbs does not start and preform this yea then the future is not looking good at all if we cont. with Dooley's left over at quarterback and never get Dobbs ready to play then come his time next year we are not going to be in any better shape we have to start building the future.

Is everyone saying Dylan Wiseman will redshirt? If he doesn't, I expect him to compete for a starting position, he is one of our top 7 OLs.

Wiesman is a top four for Guard/Center. I don't think we have the luxury of him redshirting but Raulerson can.

This is my take:

LT: Blair, Gilliam
LG: Jackson, Wiesman
C: Crowder, Wiesman
RG: Kerbyson, Wiesman
RT: Thomas, Kendrick

If this part is true, which I think it is, Oklahoma's stunting blitz happy D is going to get 10 sacks, force 6 turnovers, and give their offense 5-6 really short drives for scores.

I think Thomas if he's the best O-lineman we have will probably move to LT.
Is Marquise Pair not still on the team??

Edit: just checked Pair is still on the team as a RS Sr. He played in 6 games last season. (Gilliam only played in 3)

Pair can play either side and provides depth! Rumor has it that Gilliam is ahead of him now.

This ^^^^^^^

Seems like the best one..... It's hard to get freshman in the rotation their first year unless they are off the chart coming in.

5 or 6 players in our two deep in the front four will be true freshmen. Will Danny o move to offense? Also, we need to start thinking in terms of playing 4-2-5. We will not play as many linebackers. We are going to move around a lot and take more chances.

If true.. The DT position is really weak then..

One guy's opinion that has inside sources or information, that's all. Move along.

I meant NO inside sources or information.

Wouldn't be surprised if we have 1 or 2 guys who have been in the program for a couple of years, who came in as DEs, but have bulked-up to be able to make the move inside to DT. Most of the freshman starts on DL will probably come at the DE positions.

Just speculation, but that's how we've seen it play-out in the past.

I've heard the Danny O rumor before. Now that Carr left the program and Charles Mosley is probably gonna take a medical redshirt, this seems more likely. I thought O'Brian picked up some steam late in the season last year.

Maybe this means Saulsberry is coming along well. Also don't be surprised if Weatherd or Jakob Johnson doesn't rotate in at DE.

Bring on the Orange Swarm!

This information isn't surprising and just further indicts Dooley as the worst coach in UT's history. My guess is Maggitt and Vereen will start as DEs and two of of Saulsberry, O'Brien, J. Williams, and O. Williams will start. Barnett and Hendrix will cycle in at DT in all likelihood. I think Henderson will cycle in at DE.
