11-2 three yrs in a row = losing it?

He lost to us last year (and made some pretty poor calls leading up to that, imo), his recruiting classes have been less than stellar of late. So yes.

Are you familiar with the history of South Carolina football?

This is the best they have ever been...no exaggeration.

I'm quite familiar with their history, in fact I've lived in Columbia for a while now. I don't think Spurrier is what he used to be, and it showed in our game with them last year. Also the fans here are driving me insane, so it's a little bit of wishful thinking that we finish ahead of them again..

Beating them head-to-head and finishing ahead of them in the SEC East are separate things.

We beat them last year and they finished ahead of us in the East.

I should have been more clear - finishing ahead of them again like the old days.

We're going 5-1 in the East this year?

I think that is very possible. Florida is down. Mizzou lost a bunch. Vandy is vandy, as is Kentucky. UGA and Sc I think we win one of those two. I could see a 9-3 season at worst 7-5. I think this is the year we begin our rise to the top.

Que the "get real"... "sunshine pumper"...

Seems like some people think Mizzou is a powerhouse and they will stay that way. They were 5-7 in 2012 with 2 SEC wins. Now all of the guys that lead them this year are gone.

I think this is their attrition:
Top QB
Top 2 RBs
Top 3 WRs
3 OL
7 Defensive Starters

No Franklin
No Josey
No DGB
No Sam
No Bonner
No Washington
No Gaines
No Ealy
No Wilson

Look at Mizzou schedule too!

Ga, Vandy, UK, Ark at home. FL, TN, USCe and aTm on road!

Ok gotcha.

Hope for your sake it happens but sanity tells me we are another season away from that being realistic.

Reading the predictions from others stating the VOLS are going 11-2 or 12-1 this year have been entertaining though.

Sometimes the best player isn't always the #1 draft pick. Too many variables involved and team needs dictate that.

With that in mind, take what physcial tools JC has, the position he played and compare that to other players. Which player out there comes close? Maybe Sammy Watkins comes close but still not #1.

Anyone else?

Clowney is by far the best player in this years draft. Without question.
