I'm predicting a tough game and maybe TN might squeek out a W.

My first post. I hope I don't turn in to a NegaVol. :whistling:

You said "maybe" and used TN instead of 'we". All sure signs of being a troll or at the least a NEGAVOL.

Not to mention you misspelled squeek and in to should be into.

Sorry but it's the way we roll. Welcome to VolNation :whistling:

I really have a feeling that we'll play our best game of the season this week. Of course it's just a gut feeling, but I believe we will win this game by 10-14 points. In fact, we may have a larger lead than this before USCe scores late. :good!:

What am I basing this on?
1) CBJ & staff have had 2 weeks to gameplan. Expanded offensive playbook that USCe hasn't seen.
2) Underclassmen starters have turned the corner and will play their collective best game.
3) Tiny leads the O-line to make a statement. Vols' rush for 200 yards.
4) We win the turnover margin by 2.
5) Palardy flips the field and pins USCe twice with boundary punts inside the 15.
6) Bye week came at a great time to get us healthier.
7) USCe trap game with #14 Mizzou the following week.
8) Vols' have been building momentum, a win here just makes sense.

CBJ talks about the process... I think Saturday will be a big step forward in his process!
Vols 34-21

The reality is the Vols have played one good game this season. Georgia was crippled by injuries. Maybe the Vols will play another great game maybe they won't. The Vols simply don't have the talent yet. Help is on the way just not this year.

Hes ready to win the championchip for all years, all time, all series.

How long will it take on a scale of 1 to 10? Well thats the question the volsnation faces.

Butch will shock the world Saturday and remind the world theyre not shocked when we run a bUTch train on USCjr or any SEC pretenders.

Vols pick up top JUCO WR Lavon Patterson and all the other recruits.

Touchdown vols!!!!!!!! 34-24

Ill be honest I think we lose a close one - objectively speaking. But I do think its close and the vols have a good shot at the upset.

For some reason this team reminds me of some of the West Virginia teams from a few years ago. Kind of scrappy, with some talent, and capable of pulling of an upset

I can smell a big upset coming. It's been in the making for long enough and will solidify alot of the sales pitch stuff we've heard(and believed in) the last 11 months. Butch needs to get it done, we have everything we need to win, no excuses anymore. No excuses anymore!

yeah, USC looked horrible in a road win at Arky right?

The Hogs are terrible... that game tells me nothing about how good USCe is.

How can you judge how good a team is when the team they are playing flat out quit. Did you actually watch the same game I did?

I agree to an extent but people are using that we almost beat UGA as proof we will win, and you can make the same type arguments when you get into things like UGA was missing several, they lost to Mizzou, etc.

You are vastly overestimating expectations.

Because we played Georgia close, a lot of people are expecting us to beat everyone left on the schedule except Alabama. And some even think we will beat them.

While I agree thats not the average expectation, there are plenty of people 'expecting' a win over South Carolina, rather than just hoping for one.

Ole Miss tried it Saturday night against A&M's Johnny Manziel. It didn't work very well since it isolated a very good open field runner with a LB. He missed a few chances to make the play; however, I have no idea what kind of speed the LB has.

I don't believe we have a LB fast enough to spy Shaw. Key will be to get a rush on him and keep him contained and force him inside and off our edge.

I say we give JRM a shot. Kid has wheels and brings the wrath when he hits.

Clowney's the key, IMHO. USCe's gonna get their points. They have a very good O. If UT can't keep up score wise, it could get ugly. They better come out firing like they did against us and hope that the Gamecocks are "flatish". Shaw and Davis are hard to stop.

I think Brewer could run with Shaw. On top of that, dude can lay the lumber. One good shot and Shaw is down.

Throw out the AP game as it was not competitive. UT has given up 168 points in the 5 games since AP. Over 32 points a game.

So to beat USC we will need to score in excess of 35 points against a pretty tough defense. It just won't happen. I see a 35-16 game for USC I think. Even against GA, we still allowed way too many points on D and the D of USC is better than GA's was so it will be tougher for our offense to score. No way we see this 10-14 point victory this year!
