Prediction of 4 Playoff teams

Which 4 teams make the playoff?

Said last night that it was a toss up between Bama and FSU. Personally I think FSU deserved it more but Bama name and SEC politics carried the day.

Bama is certainly better right now than FSU. No question. But I don’t believe this “has to be the best 4” argument. If that’s the case, someone needs to explain to me how TCU got in last year. They obviously were not one of the “best four” but the committee put them in. Sorry but that dog won’t hunt.

The challenge now is who to pull for. Don’t like Michigan or Alabama so I guess I’m a Texas fan now.
Pull for Washington.

In 2014, with the first playoff selection, with a resume lacking compared to TCU and Baylor, the committee took Ohio State, the bigger brand and bigger TV draw

In 2023, with the last four team playoff selection, with a resume lacking compared to Florida State, the committee took Alabama, the bigger brand and bigger TV draw.

I believe Alabama's SOS was 5.

FSU's was 55.

That does, and should, matter.

I think they got it right, although I’d have Georgia 5 and FSU 6.

Setting up a Bama vs Texas National Championship?

I'm not bitter. I've been saying FSU and Miami made a huge mistake back when they first joined it.

What are you talking about?

Before this year.

College Football Playoff Appearances:

ACC: 8 (6-6)
Big 10: 8 (3-5)
Big 12: 5 (0-4)
PAC 12: 2 (1-2)
SEC: 11 (14-5)
AAC: 1 (0-1)
Independent: 1 (0-1)

Galloway took offense to the fact that SEC bias or tv ratings with matchups may have impacted this lol
Just fake talking head media crying for ratings and views. Don't let them fool you, they all wanted Bama over FSU.

It’s just…it’s an injustice we did this with a committee. I had to listen to when Michigan State got in, when those 18-19 Oklahoma teams got in, when it was clear they weren’t a top 4 team, the committee tell me that “what you accomplish matters”. That what’s I heard.

And now it’s “Well we pick the four best teams.” Oh really? That 2019 Georgia team was clearly better than Oklahoma. They let in Oklahoma because they “deserved it”.

It’s all such ********

It's strange, on one hand, I feel like FSU got completely screwed. On the other, I feel like they would get absolutely demolished by any of the teams that made it in without Jordan Travis at QB. Looking back at some of their wins from this year, and they also barely scraped by some BAD teams. Yes they beat Louisville, but Louisville is not nearly as good as their record implies, imo. Louisville lost to a 3-9 Pitt team, and lost to a Kentucky team at home that got beaten by Georgia and Bama soundly.

Man, I am glad this happened to FSU and not Tennessee.

I really don’t. FSU and Miami were in the ACC all those years playoff Clemson was.

We will get to a 2 conference or no conference NCAA in due time regardless.

FSU and Miami were strong when they joined the ACC, then both declined. Clemson was very good for a period.

That's the history of the ACC since they joined it.
