Predictions for the playoff game @ Ohio State

LOL! Nah....just here to piss people like you off with an opinion that holds no weight on anything, yet gets under your skin so much you have to reply to it.

Mission accomplished.

Good Lord people like you are insufferable.
In case you haven’t noticed, a forum is exactly that. People stating opinions and people replying. If you want a one way street and can’t handle the criticism of your sorry victim mentality then I recommend talking to yourself in the basement. If you want your word to be the gospel you’re in the absolute worst spot you could be. The internet is a scary place buddy. Lots of words, paragraphs, and opinions out there thst might not mirror yours. Glad I could help.

If Georgia can score 31 then OSU can easily score more than 17.
Two completely different built teams. BTW, you give our staff no credit for adjustments. If and buts goes with candy and nuts. A lot of overlooking at the facts. This game is a tossup. You seem to forget that they scored less than 21points or less against teams with a heartbeat. Nebraska-21, Michigan-10 and Penn State-20. The did score points against Oregon - 31 points and
Indiana - 38. One game early in season and the other vs a team that should not be ranked in the top 20.
They are 3-2 against this bunch and could easily have been 1-4. The remaining 7 games were cakewalks and not even close.
This game comes down to home field advantage, trenches and officiating.

It’s hard to predict any CF game against closely matched teams.

My thoughts:

1. Fans should not make too much about their UM loss - that’s a HUGE rivalry game . . . And their performance has been very different against all others.

2. On paper, they have more overall talent.

3. All teams have an advantage playing at home. I think that will be even more true in the first round of the CFP.

4. UT has not looked great in road games.

Bottom line - if we had gotten a home game, I think we would have won a close game. I don’t see us beating them on the road.

The only way I see UT winning is if we have no turnovers and OSU has a few turnovers that we can convert into 10 plus points. That would negate their built in home field advantage.

OSU - 27
UT - 20
Agree with all of those.
As is usually the case, which def fronts can get to the QB without blitzing.
Also, how much is Nico willing to run.
DSamp can not fumble.
All our kickoffs need to go thru end zones.
All our punt returns can not hit ground and roll.
No personal fouls.
No off procedure or def off sides.
Refs must call holding on both teams in equal amounts.

LOL.....thanks for proving my point.

One way street you say? You do realize that your reply to me was advocating for exactly that, a one way street, right? Your reply, along with a lot of others on this board, alluded to the fact that anybody who had the audacity to voice an idea different than "VAWLS BUH A MILLYUN!" was a victim, just moping through life, not a true fan. Who am I kidding....of course you don't realize it. You offered no substance. No argument. Just anger. Anger that someone had a less than ideal opinion of the result we're all hoping for....a Tennessee win.

Again, insufferable.

But sure....buddy, I concede. You've bested me good sir.....your fandom is the biggest on Volnation.....you're the Volnation King and nobody should ever say anything with even a hint of negativity about the mighty Volunteers, EVER! VOLS BY 200 IN THE SHOE!!!!! I don't know why Ohio State would even bother to show up, those poor bastards. Sampson rushes for 1500 yards on 3 carries in the first half! Pierce has 23 sacks on the first play on defense! By gawd, the CFP has already been won by Tennessee and the rest of the games should be canceled immediately! Hell, Vols win the next 47 CFP titles in a row....start building the damn trophy case!

There....am I doing it right?

Oh, and welcome to the ignore list.

I think this game largely depends on Sampson and how they contain him. Idk that Ohio State has seen a rb like him this season. He’s amassed great stats against some tough defenses and some loaded fronts. Other thing is he has to limit the fumbles though.

The other potential issue I could see is our lbers struggle in coverage.

I think both of these teams are somewhat similar. I’ll take the Vols in a low scoring affair 23-20.

Every team in the country gets picked apart without pressure!
That’s not entirely true, some QB’s are better passers with better receivers, some just average. Ohio State appears to have a QB with a good arm and very talented receivers.

Big Ten football this late in the season means weather could upend even the best laid plans; just how it goes.

Without knowing who can and who can't throw and catch a harder-than-usual ball, or who can and who can't adapt to not being able to unleash certain aspects of their athleticism (cold slows down all men, without exception), or who can and who can't kick a hard ball accurately, or who can and who can't hold onto a hard ball after getting walloped, it's impossible to say.

I don't expect either team to feel great about their performance after-the-fact, regardless of outcome. Such is life in the Big Ten in December.

Gloves with lots of stick-um and keep rotating heated balls:)

We start fast like we did at Florida last year and this year at Georgia, then revert back to our old selves. A leopard doesn’t change its spots. This team is what it is on the road in big games. OSU turns it on in the second half.

Buckeyes 28, Vols 17

With all due respect, if this game were truly a tossup, Vegas wouldn’t have set the opening line at OSU -7.5.

No confidence? Must be a Buckeye fan? I don’t understand a vol fan against Tennessee. You already failed, and I just don’t think you are a vol fan. That’s it, that’s the one. 🤔🥶☝️

I’m not against Tennessee. The OP asked how we thought the game would go. There’s my answer. Reading comprehension is fundamental, my friend.
