Also curious as to yalls opinion on the Ivan Toney stuff and dark arts performs in the game. Pretty wild Toney did that just after coming back from an 8 month ban.

I’m personally not a fan of dark arts in the game. All for shvt talking and trying to get in the opponents head, but flopping and stuff like what Toney did take it too far imho. Also not sure why VAR didn’t intervene.

There’s dark arts, and then there’s outright cheating. It was dark arts when he simply moved the ball to the side. If the ref doesn’t notice that, tip my hat and move on. Where it crossed the line into cheating for me was when he then scooped up a handful of the magic spray to re-mark the ball and deceive the ref who had his back turned.

No idea if that qualifies as a VARable offense. I think its a pretty small list of things they’re actually allowed to look at, and I don’t know if any of them involve dead ball situations.

Bayer Leverkusen now 7 points clear of Bayern at the top of the Bundesliga. Xabi Alonso doing one hell of a job there.

Just watched this last night. I knew they were owned by Bayer, but I never put two and two together and asked the question that the video does, which is why haven't they been better historically given the corporate backing? They behave more like a smaller, developmental club.

I don’t know the history and landscape of the Bundesliga very well so honestly not sure. I do know if they want to stay doing as well as they are now they better do whatever it takes to keep Xabi Alonso for as long as they can. Only team left in the European top 5 leagues that is yet to lose this season. Even crazier is they don’t have a lot of draws either. 24-3-0 in all comps.

Happy for Xhaka but sure miss him at Arsenal.

Chelsea fans can stop pretending to actually think they were going to lose to Middlesbrough
Chelsea fans have watched this inconsistent team all year and know this squad is capable of dropping a goose egg against anyone at anytime.

Happy to move on. Didn’t have an extremely tough path to get to this point but even with the turbulent year we’ve made it to Wembly with a shot at a trophy. I’ll take it.

In all seriousness, FSG had reportedly known about Klopp stepping down since November. They will have been succession planning since then.

I want Xabi Alonso. Bring him back to Liverpool!

Honestly, I’d absolutely hate that. Would just prefer Klopp stay there at that point.

I would assume Alonso would be their number one target given his history with Liverpool and what he’s done at Leverkusen this season. Should be a great hire if y’all can bring him in.
