I agree with your first statement but I have to argue the second. Isn't game 3 a little early in the schedule to use a gauge for the rest of the season?
Yes. But I'd say it isn't for the next 2 or 3 games after. I'm not so much looking for mistake free football vs OU. That's probably not reasonable. I'd like to see real proof of talent and development. If the talent is "real" then mistakes can be corrected and Muschamp can for sure be outcoached. If the talent and development aren't where we all hope then UF can still out-talent UT.
Things will change but it seems like an interesting match up from this distance. UT's passing game vs UF's back 7 seems to be a strength on strength match up. The reverse is not as easy to pin but could be an advantage for UT. The run games vs front 7 should be close match ups. Right now it looks like two teams with alot of unknowns but at least for now UT's trajectory seems to be more positive.
