Yep. My 23yo son thats getting married in March just paid $255,000 for a 2 bedroom house...and it was a "good deal" in the market here. My wife (his mom) was his realtor. Thats twice what the price was pre-covid. Its absolutely ridiculous. They will be slaves to their mortgage for a while until incomes improve etc, but the alternative was throwing away money on rent in an apartment.

Its not at all lost on me that it means my 401k, from a lifetime of hard work, now has half the purchasing power on the single most important asset a person can buy...and nearly the only thing people buy that historically holds onto or slowly increases in value. Between that and the incredible inflation of everything else in Bidens term, the actual value of my entire lifes savings...its actual purchasing power which is most important regarding money...has nearly been cut in half in about 5 years. That makes me quite angry.

Serious question, what's wrong with the nazi salute? You do know where your tax dollars are going right? Next thing you are going to tell me is Al-Qaeda and the Taliban are bad and evil, while your tax dollars goes to them as well. Mostly peaceful beheading, its funny you talk about all this gay and trans right crap, your tax dollars are going to people that would probably cut your head off for that.

Without trying to duck your question, my answer would be dependent on the lawfulness of the actions taken by the officers. If the officers actions were lawful, no, protesters should not be allowed to fight back. Obviously, this gets muddled when the officers' actions are lawful but affect peaceful protestors and violent protestors the same by proximity; tear gas, after all, does not seek out just the wicked.

As I tell my children during my talk with them: Even if you are right, the officer will win the fight on the street. He is armed and he is within a radio call of dozens of friends who are also armed and ready to come to his defense. Even if you are right, be quiet and be respectful. If the officer is wrong, there are avenues to pursue to make things right. But the fight in the heat of the moment is not worth your life.

Elon evidently says and does this frequently at Tesla events and everyone always thought it was a nice gesture to his audience until of course he aligned with Trump. Then again Trump wasn't a xenophobe when he married a foreigner but somehow was after he became a Republican. He wasn't a racist when he helped the NAACP in New York and was praised by Jesse Jackson for a "lifetime of helping minority communities" but then he was a racist when he became a Republican.

Maybe Nazi is going to be the new Russia, Systemic Racism, Climate Change, Xenophobia, Resist, March, Protest Blah Blah Blah this time around. I don't think some on this board are going to make it 4 years.

I am hyper-critical of the bad but I also give him credit and benefit of the doubt when he deserves it.

Can you admit that it looks way more like a neo-nazi salute than somebody waving? I have never waved at anybody like that, and if I saw ANYBODY do it, I would be like "that looked like he was saluting Hitler"

The idiots have made it this way already. None of these words have meaning anymore. At this stage if you have some social media-addicted bartender up to their knees in credit card debt and bad taste in everything telling you you're a racist nazi that falls for trolls, it's probably for the better.
