Elon's certainly getting a ton of milage out of this salute thing on Twitter. He thinks it's hilarious, apparently loves the attention, but no way was he intentionally trolling, tho. There's just no way.
I don't believe he was trolling but do believe that he is using the idiots calling it a Nazi salute to his advantage
Looks like this discussion may have been entirely academic.Life is good, been a busy 1.5 years, stopping by VN between assignments.
I'd just hope this is not rash promise-keeping at the cost of lawful discretion; the 1500 number concerns me. I'd like to have seen Bondi already confirmed and this be a more visibly deliberative process.
I have 2500 hours in Herks. I'll fly that mission for free
Exposing the global criminals would be a huge first step. I would add release the Epstein evidence. Nobody ever asks why his trafficker was arrested but none of his clientsI only hope that this indeed comes to pass. Rand Paul is just the bulldog to bring this scumbag to justice or at least expose his crimes against humanity for all to see.
Despite Biden Pardon, Fauci Still Faces Legal Perils. Here They Are.
President Biden’s pardon of Dr. Anthony Fauci may protect the former National Institutes of Health official from immediate criminal prosecution, but some critics say he is not completely out ofwww.realclearinvestigations.com
Outstanding. Now let’s build some new nuclear plants to power this thing.
Agree, Hog. The left hasn't figured out that when they started leveling serious accusations at common things people do everyday, common people started thinking they had gone too far. Common people, those who made "o.k." symbols with their hands or waved at people with an extended arm, etc. saw not only the lunacy of the left, they saw themselves in those who were being unfairly accused.
It is part of what started the great shift rightward in this last election. #MeToo, crying "Racism" at every criticism, calling people Nazis for voting for a Kennedy! The left overplayed their hand drastically.
The shame of it all is, when Trump does do things that are totalitarian, or even National Socialist, the opposition will have lost all credibility and their voices will not be heard.
Example 1: TikTok. I cringe every time Trump suggests that TikTok should fork over $500 billion to the US for the US to provide a license for TikTok to operate and make money. That is textbook National Socialism, yet the social justice warriors on the board are too busy with conjured up slights to express (correct) objections to this policy. What is worse, the conservatives here have uttered nary a word because they want to celebrate the "crying libs" in their midst.
Example 2: Ban on birthright citizenship. I know you (@hog88) are with me on this, but there are other right-leaning posters here who are not. This is not an executive order situation. This is a constitutional amendment issue. We have given Trump, (and many presidents before him) the power to implement policies that are unconstitutional. We have given them Emperor power. Sure, the courts are a check. but by the time the courts get around to making decisions, too much damage is done.
The President extorting businesses to only allow them license to operate and make money if they partner with the US government? - that is totalitarian. The President deciding to override the Constitution in determining who is a citizen? - that is totalitarian.
But, no, we are worried about a rich autistic man's wave. Talk about missing the forest for the trees...........
Uh-Oh. I am about to get jumped by the entire board, aren't I?
I could be wrong, but dont believe a state can prosecute a federal official acting on behalf of federal government. If he faces potential state criminal charges he gets the best of both worlds; he gets to accept the pardon on the federal charges while asserting the 5th on on testimony that may relate to the state charges. That is how I'd play it if I were him.
The feds and the state are separate sovereigns for charging purposes. Double jeopardy would not be a bar. That is why a defendant can be charged for, say, drug and gun charges by both feds and state authorities, though in practice one defers to the other. Think in terms of those who have been acquitted by state courts to then have federal charges brought to assauge the masses.Depending on the charges double jeopardy could attach, so if the federal government indicts the State could be barred. (?) Of course, there are other issues, which he could be brought before countless grand juries at the federal and state levels for testimony.
All the people pardoned (without a indictment or criminal referral) should be investigated for criminal activity as apparently the top law enforcement at the federal government had reason to believe they were involved in a crime. It is also possible that Joe and Jill Biden could be called to testify, although there could be some hangups depending on the situation.
Good luck with that. In reality, this is just a move to privatize management of the buildings and then lease them back from the donors who pushed to convince people like you that this opinion made you look smart.
