President Donald Trump - J.D. Vance Administration

I'd argue there should be more spending in the Military particularly for more Navy ships and 5th gen fighters like the F35. I wish we could restart the F22 program!

If we ever have to face CCP we'll need them.
I think the first step would be completely reshuffling how the money is spent in the military or government in general.

how many billions/trillions have gone unaccounted for?
How much is spent for the 800 dollar hammers, or 150k hand sanitizers?
How much is spent on death by power point stuff?
how much is spent on the redundant admin level or over paying various contractors to fill government holes?

I think with pretty much everything the government does you could cut out 20-30% and not lose a bit of functionality to what they actually do by just making it efficient.

I had a project held up by the Forest Service for 6 months because person number 5 needed person number 7s signature. person 7 wouldn't sign off because they needed person number 6 to sign off. Person number 6 couldn't sign off because person number 5 hadn't signed off.

had a contact on another job whose sole job was to be emailed, and then forward said emails to another person. they didn't edit the emails, weed any out, didn't review them, didn't add any notes. Nope their whole job was just forwarding any emails they got to the next person. they were there to make the system "more efficient".

there is a reason whenever you see any tax payer funded project happen like 50 different officials and bureaucrats show up to claim credit. most of them probably hadn't even heard the project name before they got the invite. I nearly got us fired from a job when one state senator during a live broadcast said they had enjoyed working for months alongside the architect and design team, and pointed to me. I had never even met the guy before, and raised the issue with our contact later, telling them not to use me for their lies. that didn't go over so well.

so so much could be cleaned up and cut, and yes I believe that includes the military.

LMAO ..... I love seeing these democrats having a meltdown day after day w/Musk.
Trump appointed him to do a job and he will do it by the power from the POTUS.

The irony.

Chucky, you're either going to have to come up with a new gag, or the alternative maybe think about getting to work. The half-life on this stuff is basically zero now. 🤷‍♂️

My life in a nutshell.

I'd say 20% of my job right now is repackaging already available information because some SES or GS-15 doesn't like the color and/or doesn't want to click on anything. It's nauseating and I want that part (and those folks) to go away. I can spend that 20% on actual productive work.

Read your first line and I disagree. First step is to STOP all irrelevant spending (DEI / Global Warming / etc, etc) then start looking and managing the money we are spending on legitimate items.

To continue wanting to cut spending on military is wrong as we are too far behind China now. It’s time to spend wisely and grow/enhance our military.

Biden has left us in a mess.

The most painful part of this clean up is now. Identify issues, rip the band-aid off and fix the many problems this country has. The military is a problem only because it has been surpassed by China. This cannot be allowed.

In my experience most government employees view their job as keeping their job and the way they do that is by taking no responsibility and making life harder on everyone they can.

Boy that sums it up.

I was talking about Trump's resignation offer with my coworker today. Sounds good in theory, but the problem is the only ones that will take it are the most productive, because the bad ones already have that "deal"- no work, receive paycheck- except their's is in perpetuity.

So many of these feds are complaining about feeling "attacked" and "there's no room for rational discussion". They're simply having job reviews- something WE ALL HAVE. I'm so glad their bubble is being destroyed.

That is funny. They feel the need to throw a public tantrum, but they obviously haven't thought this through. They're going to introduce new legislation, but they don't control the House, they don't control the Senate, and the President would never sign it anyway.
AND there is a conservative majority on the Supreme Court

If it were me, I would just get out of the way.... let them work it out but you don't like that either.

I take it you haven't been to that part of the world?

As far as solving the problem, what Trump is proposing does make sense. The people either need to be removed or they will get liquidated. He appears to suggest that removal is an option. The alternative is they'll need to find out what lies beyond the white light because its either one side or the other.

Its very possible the Ukrainians find themselves in a very similar position, something I've spoke about for about 2 years.
Just where do you remove the people to? That's the way this git started in the first place ,European jews were resettled in an occupied country.

Democrats have had their greedy slimy little hands in all of government time to check.

Now Schumer needs to look at the ATF, CDC, NIH, EPA, FDA, and really just about every government agency the elected officials ceded their jobs to.

News for Chuckie…..the executive branch employs about 3 million people. Only 2 of those people (Pres and VP) are “elected”. So the government is actually 99.999933 % “unelected”.
So if he wants to do away with unelected people in government, I find his terms acceptable 😉

I attended about 4 or 5 different public sessions over the use of font in a presentation we were giving. We couldn't use Arial because the town next door uses arial...so instead we ended up with Calibri. they are pretty much the exact same, Calibri is just a little smaller, so we had to use a larger font size, to make it the same size as Arial.

because of how impossible it is to tell them apart, we had to have another public meeting where we had to show them they two different fonts by opening up the presentation software and selecting the text. we then had to host a forum on how to use Microsoft Word so that the public could do it themselves.

Hilarious but also sad.

lol, should have kept reading because that is exactly what I said. but apparently you are cool with the military spending 800 bucks on hammers and 150k on hand sanitizers if you disagree with me. that will really show China.

I tell people all the time. Not every public meeting is like what you see in Parks and Rec, but when they get off the rocker, they make Parks and Rec look sane.

also Parks and Rec never touches the bureaucracy for the sake of bureaucracy that is rampant in every government I have dealt with.

To build on what @LouderVol said, the majority of military spending is waste. Military contractors have no incentive to rapidly produce effective weapons systems. The incentive is to keep the contract going- because the government (specifically, the right) will always keep spending on "defense".

As an example, about 7-8 years ago, I was part of a project to analyze the potential effectiveness of a radar system for a branch of the military. At the point I came into the project for our review, the current contract was in its 5th or 6th year, at about $500M in total spend, and had produced a single prototype that failed spectacularly in its only field test to date. At this point, 7 or 8 years later, the prime contractor has an ongoing $1B contract and has put zero functional units into the field. Development for all of this initially started on another set of contracts back in 2005.

Cutting military spend is absolutely a viable goal. The billions wasted on this kind of **** should be cut, and cut immediately. Then we can turn that money into innovation and development.

PS: The Chinese military supply chain would collapse under pressure just like Japan's did in WWII.

I'm so confused, shouldn't Hitler want to eliminate the Jewish state?

Sounds like he is coming up with a plan to possibly give those people a chance to live before they're liquidated. 🤷‍♂️

If the Rs lose congress in the midterms you can bet your bottom dollar Trump will be impeached and probably removed.

We'll I don't know but I will say this... most of the half-life on all these lunatic behaviors and scams seems to be a few milliseconds at that. They seem hell bent on going down with the boat. Seems to have the reverse impact of what the intent is.

Of course, I'm someone that doesn't think America will make it.
