Glad you said that. It is true. In fact, if that shredding truck is like the one which serves McRib's hospital, it arrives at the same time and day on a route.
It is also a good lesson in social media. An image with some text leads many people to make assumptions and connect dots that simply are not there.

In most of the agencies I work with it's +/- 6 years that they have to maintain procurement files, then those files get shredded by trucks like these. They're at the facilities about every quarter if not a little more often.

It is indeed. It is also standard practice to pull the truck around to the loading dock or a maintenance entrance. The fact that they parked it front and center in plain view of the public like that the same week they were explicitly told to preserve all records is plainly meant to serve as an “in your face” message that they have no intention of doing so. It is an open challenge to the incoming administration and must be dealt with accordingly come 20 January

It isn't necessarily standard practice to use a loading dock, especially if its already occupied. Most of the local governments I've worked with just park it out front.

I really have a hard time buying that this is some big conspiracy knowing how this stuff actually works. Maybe focus on stuff that is actually going wrong rather than these stretch cases.

Sorry but too many “conspiracy theories” these past few years have proven to be true for me not to be just a bit more paranoid than normal right now 😉
