The feeding kids year round for free thing is wild to me.. the school system has somehow become the parents and responsible for all the kids..Don’t get me wrong it’s fine, but it just wasn’t a thing when we were kids.. my husband grew up really poor and his mom was a lunch lady at the school and I think he said he and one other kid got reduced price lunch tickets.. and nobody got breakfast at all .. you could get popsicles for extra and eat and slurp on it in front if all the other kids and nobody thought anything about it .. the teacher would say bring a quarter next time different times lol, but they definitely shaped me.. it just doesn’t sit right with me somehow.. my instinct is if you are the parent act like it and feed or find food for your kids..and yes, I know about being poor it’s the lazy don’t give a sh!t that I can’t excuse

if a person buys a car then that person also take on the responsiblity to pay for it, put gas in it, fix it and pay for the insurance...if a person can't do these things then they have no reason to be buying a car.

I pay taxes same as you or maybe you. And yes I would rather feed starving people than bomb them. USAID garnished a lot of good will to America. We are hated in the mideast because we have caused the death and injury of so many children and other innocents.
