We can ignore those don’t you know. Were you asleep the last 4 years?Every court has the power to find someone in contempt for failure to obey a court order. There are steps involved. Warnings to be given, and depends on the type of contenpte, ie civil (like a fjne) or criminal. Obviously, the latter is a higher standard.
actually yes I do. bribery of foreign officials is something of a big concern in my industry, and for me personally. especially when dealing with China.I'm pretty sure bribery is illegal in most every country so if caught I have no issue with the offender being prosecuted in that country. There is no damn reason for us to be prosecuting people for crimes committed in other countries that doesn't involve our country.
You're really being a dishonest idiot with this subject. You don't give a sh!t anymore than I do.

in the past we mostly deal with it in the form of a foreign country's company, like Mexico, bribing a Chinese official, to slap whatever label is needed onto a product before it ships to America. Now we will just have American companies paying Chinese officials to get whatever label slapped onto a product before it shows up in America. When you deal with life safety items and structural steel showing up from China, its a MAJOR concern I take very seriously, and you can gfy for suggesting otherwise.
it is naive AF to think this corruption will just stay in another nation. and if we don't have a bat here to swing at home, it just removes another of the thin layers protecting the people I ultimately end up being responsible for. so until you spend nights awake at night worrying about the quality of product you are responsible for and people being hurt by it don't say I don't give a sh*t.
its only by the grace of God that one of my projects didn't collapse with people inside it, because I just so happened to catch that a piece of Chinese steel was warping. but to you its no fricking big deal that people could die, the corruption is somewhere else. Let me know when you deal with a structural engineer telling you in a panic that people need to get out of a building you helped design before you cast stones at me.
It would be nice if he would stop at 'use or buy whatever kind of straw you like'.Have you even read the story? He is directing the FEDERAL government to stop purchasing or using paper straws. States are still free to buy whatever silly stuff they like, although Trump wants a task force set up to look at ways to discourage their use.
Remember when people voted for Biden to “Restore integrity back to the Presidency”. And instead what they got was Preemptive Pardons and this sh**

Dear Democrats. The adults are back in the room. Sit down and shut up.
When American children are in a good spot, we aren't running deficits, and the debt has been eliminated bring up the children of other countries. Until then, you are pissing American money down the drain while Americans suffer. And I'm not for spending this money on needy Americans. But you've got some screwed up prioritiesEvery response has been about the parents, when the point being made is about THE CHILD

Doesn’t answer the question. The POTUS isn’t “someone”.Every court has the power to find someone in contempt for failure to obey a court order. There are steps involved.
