President Donald Trump - J.D. Vance Administration

Sadly, a lot of politicians use Faith for gain. It remembers me of the following passage, specifically the bolded part:

“And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. 6 But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you."

Sadly, people can manipulate God's words to their advantage here on earth and argue it away. It can be hidden from other people but it will come out when you stand before God at judgment. I think this is what Jesus was describing with the Pharisees who looked good on the outside but didn't have the right heart.

I do feel like American Christianity struggles with two extremes. One extreme plays to much into the "God is love" mentality and doesn't take on obligation to actual repent and follow God's commandments while the other extreme comes off judgmental like the Pharisees.
I will say that public prayer was common in the OT. Jesus' words seemed to be speaking more to judging motives than location.

Yes, very common for the victim in such situations to recant, especially when they realize the implications of what they have reported.

She's also relatively prominent in the MAGA world as well, and stands to lose in the fallout if Mills is arrested.

Probably irks the piss out of his wife that he chose a younger Iranian version of her to cheat with.

English should be the official language of the US. If those from other countries want to LEGALLY come to the US, that requires they also assimilate to the US way of doing things including speaking English. The US does not need dozens of different languages. School teachers should not have to be multi-lingual.

I have been to India and can vouch for it. The part of India that I was in had a group of people called Tamils. They haven't had the best history with Northern India (Hindi) and preferred speaking English over Hindi.

India is a big place and really wasn't a united country until the British Raj. The Mughals came close but they were kind of considered a foreign/Turkish ruling group that faced a lot of resistance in Southern India.

People think of "India" as one big, single-raced country but the diversity there makes the US look like a perfectly homogenous utopia.
