Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Says He Would Clear Out Entire Departments at the FDA​


Robert F. Kennedy Jr. said he would clear out “entire departments” at the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) during an interview on Wednesday previewing his plans in the upcoming Trump administration.

“There are entire departments, like the nutrition department at FDA, that are that have to go, that are are not doing their job,” he said in an interview with NBC News on Wednesday.

“They’re not protecting our kids. Why do we have Fruit Loops [in] this country that have 18 or 19 ingredients, and you go to Canada and it’s got two or three?” he said.

It is a bit more complex than that. But my wife is a medical doctor that has studied lifestyle medicine for years. She’s taught me a lot.

Typically the more ingredients, the worse off you are. Not always though.

I’m not saying RFK is the guy. I am saying we have a problem. Go look at the food in the “health food” section of the grocery store. That stuff is full of sugar and salt. Campbells is allowed to place a “Heart Healthy” logo on the label. The soup is nothing but salt! That’s not heart healthy. If people want to eat crap, so be it. Merica!!! The false advertising needs to stop though.

I agree that advertising for food is often very misleading. And yes, too much sugar and salt to make it taste good and have you buy it again.

But RFK touts a lot of off base, unaccepted stuff, and when confronted retreats to classic conspiracy rhetoric about unseen unknown forces keeping the rest of us from knowing the truth he claims to understand, in his deeply, deeply, uneducated pseudo science way

True. Other places don't allow that. If you see for example Cheerios in a supermarket in Singapore all the 'this is healthy' crap on the box is pasted over.

Here's what I know: I have worked alongside the Japanese for years, great people. They are rather rigid in the way they conduct themselves, and don't think outside of the box as much as us westerners, and maybe as far as food goes
(maybe not so much technological breakthroughs) that is a benefit. They smoke, they drink, eat fantastic food (love Japanese food!), and stay normal sized and relatively healthy. Low cancer rates in comparison, heart disease, ect. Why? Diet. In the Philippines, KFC's and McDonalds are popping up more and more. They love them some KFC. Now the obesity rate is rising there. "Food" for thought.

Trump won't be facist/act like a dictator. Day one after wining says F U to the constitution. Think people. I'm not saying he's a facist or a dictator. But have some common sense.

But a lot of his supporters are ok with it bc they agree with the policy. Makes them no different then the Dems on the 2A.

It can be on the cheap. Cut off all their benefits, then they have no reason to stay...at least the ones that aren't working. He mentioned doing this. As far as criminals, like the gangs...yeah...whatever it takes.

They never imagined in 1868 that the 14th amendment would be used to allow millions of people to stay in the country by coming here and giving birth.
