President Donald Trump - J.D. Vance Administration

I think Jr. believes he has more juice than he actually has. I highly doubt Trump wants this shat discussed openly. He keeps it up and he may find himself out in the cold.

We're also going back to the media using "sources" that can't be confirmed.

They haven't learned and will still be using the playbook from 2016.

Wait a minute...

[are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside.]

If they don't actually reside in the US or a state? It's all about interpretation

You're reaching around your ass to scratch your elbow with that argument.

Just amend the constitution to do away with birthright citizenship. Surely 3/4s of states would support that?

“and subject to the jurisdiction thereof”.

That is the key phrase that could be challenged in court to deny citizenship to children born in the US to illegal alien parents. They are not subject to the jurisdiction thereof. They are here illegally.

If you are in the US you are subject to it's jurisdiction.

Would a child born oversees with a male US service member and foreign national mother be a US citizen?

There are tons of statutory ifs/whats/buts to that. I don't consider those people natural born citizens but that is a generalization on my part.

I personally think someone like John McCain being eligible to be President as very suspect.

Wrong, hog. That wording is in there to exempt certain people like the children of foreign diplomats that are in the US.

True so anyone on US soil not protected by diplomat status is subject to it’s jurisdiction.
...but then how was that exception made? Couldn't someone then just say illegals aren't subject to US jurisdiction? Or couldn't an executive order or law classify illegals in a way that makes them not subject to US jurisdiction in the same way as diplomats?

(PS: I'm not being facetious, I genuinely do not know.)

Elon Musk Joined Trump’s Call With Zelensky, who was Surprised billionaire was on line: report

Billionaire Elon Musk joined Donald Trump in the president-elect’s phone conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky this week, a new report says.

Zelensky — who wanted to talk about Trump’s victory and the future of US-Ukrainian relations amid the ongoing war with Russia — was surprised to learn that Musk was on the line with Trump when the call began Wednesday, Axios reported, citing officials familiar with the situation.

Zelensky later issued a statement describing his call with Trump as “excellent” and congratulating the former president for his “historic landslide victory.

“We agreed to maintain close dialogue and advance our cooperation. Strong and unwavering U.S. leadership is vital for the world and for a just peace,” the Ukrainian president wrote on X.

The three-way call underscored just how close Musk is with Trump — and could indicate that the Tesla CEO will have a large role to play in the GOPer’s administration.
