I was at home today, and so was watching CNBC. They broke in to coverage once everyone realized what was going on.

I flipped over to CNN and watched the rest of it as everyone was airing it.

Dana Bash, Kaitlan Collins, & Amanpour were on together in the immediate aftermath. Bash & Amanpour were obviously in “Omg Trump!” mode.

Kaitlan reported that she had spoken to multiple people - Zelensky had put on a clinic of what not to do, could not have played it worse.

The whole thing was wild.

This is where I don't think Zelensky is all that smart. A mineral rights deal is a de facto security agreement without blatantly throwing it in Putin's face. If we (US) have billions in incentives and probably US citizens on the ground working/overseeing mines etc.. the US Government will protect those interests.
