So, they got 10s of millions by being in Congress? I mean on one level I agree, but not sure we are talking the same thing here.

FYI I lose track of whether Trump is rich or poor, it seems to change every day. To me, it doesn't really matter much either way.

How did the Bush family become wealthy? It wasn't at all how the Clintons and Obams did.
All that time in Congress enabled Biden to grift himself a fortune.
Trump's rich because his daddy set him up, but that doesn't stop him from trying to get richer scamming the gullible.

Running drugs and arms and some of the oil revenues had ties with Bin Laden family if we really want to get technical about it, the whole time Papa Bush was a federal employee.

Nobody really wants to know what the Bush family and a good portion of Congress was up to, that is why it all disappeared.

Dead honest question that I don't know the answer to but your question rather implies you do. (or pretend to) Do we get anything for our investment? Is this to gain access to REM's for instance? If so there's actually a pretty good "justification" in there.

I honestly I don't expect EL to give two ishes about anything other than wanting to dunk on the current admin so don't really expect a reply from her and even less expect a useful one. All the hyperbole aside does anyone have a real opinion on what the play regarding Greenland is about?

Basically, you are already paying for their protection, so what he is saying is actually come into the fold or pay up. In the years ahead, they won't have to worry about China, they'll have to worry about the rest of the Europeans.

Their protection costs are many more times than they could ever afford on an annual rate.

The neocons wanted to be paid off by collapsing Russia, there is nothing for the U.S. to gain by funding Ukraine especially at this point.

Thanks for the reply but I was more interested in what, if anything, putting money into Greenland (per EL's post) might actually be a net positive for us.

I would think it would come down to the price, I would say history has shown that in U.S. history acquiring more land has generally panned out very well. Comes down to price. ???

Trump is saying, what is the price? They are not at the stage and maybe never will be to put a price on it.
