War on Drugs needs to end. Doesn’t work.

I agree that it would play well with his base, but what about Independents?
And I would imagine the Republicans would roll up legalization attempts in their “soft on crime” attacks.

The "war on drugs" was a legal way to get Central and South American countries to allow us to put military boots on their soil and screw with their governments.

Hope for a favorable end to the Ukraine crisis where the US is viewed as helping defeat Putin.

Then you can spin it as Joe beat Putin, but it just wore him out. It was his last duty to a grateful nation. Now it’s time to step back, and let others lead.

I do believe it would be advantageous to the Democrats as a party if they can say with a straight face - “we seriously considered removing our guy via the 25th”.
