President Joe Biden - Kamala Harris Administration

If you believe a lot of the money will go toward American families, then we should be praising the Biden administration for this maneuver.

I'm not about to praise any damn politician for much of anything ... ever. Well, maybe if they bring back canes and spittoons and congressional critters smack each other with them - duels are a little too much to hope for.

I think many kids are being hit from both sides. Bad conditions at home with structure and character foundations and a bureaucracy that is taking advantage with propaganda more than teaching the fundamentals so the kids will be ready to contribute positively to society. They are in too much of a hurry to teach what makes this country bad but the kid has a hard time reading and writing. That's ok, they will pass him anyway and create a person with a victim mentality. Also, do you remember teachers with purple, orange, and green hair growing up where social justice t-shirts to school. I don't, bjt I do remember some with gray hair because they stuck around for some time and we're invested in the community.

My grandmother was the kindergarten teacher. I remember her beating my ass in front of everyone for talking during class. Need more of that.

Then clarify it, but that wasn’t the vote.

I’m generally very very very fiscally conservative. I want the Department of Education abolished. And probably several other federal agencies.

I can tolerate sending military equipment to people willing to fend off an aggressor that is also our enemy.

The point is that we’re sending $40 billion overseas when Americans are struggling at home. I just don’t see what’s conservative about sending billions when Americans are struggling financially.

If two countries are fighting overseas, they can deal with it. We’re not the world’s police. I’d rather keep my own money instead of sending it every time some overseas countries go to war.

I passed a station in Chattanooga today, and noticed regular was 4.29 and w/o ethanol was 4.79 (as I recall). I forgot to look at others. I don't pay much attention because my car requires premium, it's never listed on the signs, and there's little bearing between regular and premium prices - so for me the regular prices mean nothing.
Same boat…

People working in the military and defense industry put money back into the economy just like the rest of us. Now if the consumer goods they buy were just made in the US like the stuff they build, you could have a nice ripple effect. The point is you want to stimulate a different segment of the economy with money for nothing.

As was stated, if you’re sending equipment it is already purchased. We will replenish, probably done by Americans.

People need to quit pretending if we just don’t spend this money then we are all of a sudden a fiscally responsible nation. We aren’t and this situation won’t change that. Hell, we lose 4 billion a month on the student loan moratorium.

I have no doubt soldiers and defense contractors will spend money now that they and others are getting our tax dollars. But I have my doubts about how this will help the rest of Americans who aren’t being helped.

As previously stated, then go thank Biden and the republicans for this amazing plan. I would’ve preferred cash in my pocket if our politicians were going to send our tax dollars around, but that’s just me.

You were never going to feel a difference in your pocket regardless of this bill.

So you prefer money for nothing over spending for US manufactured goods that stimulates other parts of the economy naturally - or at least as naturally as possible with an almost completely outsourced consumer segment.

You wish you were rich?

Yeah. That way you can lobby politicians. That has a much better ROI and than any other investment.

As a conservative (not a Republican), I wish we wouldn’t pour from an empty cup. But seeing that’s all we do, I’d rather the money go to the constituents directly. That way every industry can get some relief instead of the defense industry only.

I’m so proud that our 2 great TN senators once again voted against this piece of garbage. TN is an ultra-MAGA state

I've been more than impressed with Bill Haggerty. And Blackburn has been consistent as well. I didn't vote for either during the primaries, but I will next time.

Slo Jo and his Cackling Ho getting their piece of the pie!

Biden Increases Crude Oil Royalty Rate, Scales Back Leases

The royalty rate for new leases will increase to 18.75%, from the current 12.5%. That’s a 50% percent jump and marks the first increase to royalties for the government in decades.
This is not being talked about enough. Gas prices will not come back down unless we drill baby drill. This administration has set a tone of being hard on the fossil fuel industry and that shows up at the gas pump

Gas stations in Washington Reprogram Pumps to Prepare for $10-a-gallon Fuel as Bidenflation sends average price soaring to $4.57 - almost twice the $2.41 during Trump's final month

A national gas station chain is reprogramming its pumps in Washington state to accommodate $10-a-gallon fuel, it has been revealed.

The move by 76 comes as the nation's average gasoline price soars to $4.57-a-gallon, almost twice the $2.41 average during Trump's last month in office.

A spokesperson for '76' gas stations confirmed that the national chain has begun reconfiguring its pumps to 'make room' for the possibility of double-digit prices, The Post Millennial reported.

Pretty simple to see life wasn't so bad under Trump.
