I can assure the problems in public education at least in the general area I work in aren't the standards we teach. It's the students lack of respect, parents who won't hold them accountable, and administrators who are unwilling to hold them back for failing especially in the Covid era. I have never seen motivation and discipline this bad across the board in school. There are always a handful of goofballs but it is significantly worse now. The pandemic really exposed the lack of discipline and parenting skills by many families. We are going to have some real problems when his Covid generation graduates or doesn't

The problems in public school in my area start with the top and filter down.

I don’t disagree with your parenting statement. Parenting is very poor nowadays. I see boys talk back to their fathers (if they are even around). Kids that don’t use “mam” and “sir”. Just the absolute basics not getting done. Which creates the behavior issues you see in school.

Im serious in my belief that public school attendance after the 5th grade should be voluntary. A free education is a privilege and if you can’t tow the line then you need to be pushed out the door.

Agree, Today’s dems aren’t the same Democratic Party of my Dad’s or for that matter mine when I first started voting.
Makes me want to tell them to just wake up and look at what’s going on in our great country.

Del Rio Sector Border Patrol agents working along the Rio Grande border with Mexico encountered six large groups of migrants in two days. The agents apprehended a total of nearly 1,000 migrants who illegally crossed through two border-crossing points.

Eagle Pass Station Border Patrol agents working the border at Normandy and Eagle Pass encountered six large migrant groups during a 36-hour period, according to information provided by Del Rio Sector Border Patrol officials. The Border Patrol defines a large group as 100 or more migrants who cross in a single group.
