Now wait a minute... how in the f*** is a pharmacy chain closing stores in a country as overly medicated, as overly prescribed and as overly subsidized as the United States? There is no way drugs (whether over-the-counter, prescribed or illegal) are NOT selling in America. And nor is inflation an issue because drugs are about as inelastic as you can get with regards to demand.

This right here makes more sense... not inflation.

Walgreens CEO Tim Wentworth recently explained to the Wall Street Journal on June 27 that the closures would focus on locations that aren't profitable, too close to each other or stores struggling with theft.

It also follows a declining trend of picking up prescriptions in person, with many people opting to fill their scripts online. "The current pharmacy model is not sustainable," Wentworth told investors, according to CNN's reporting. Stores like CVS (which plans to close pharmacies in select Targets) and Rite Aid have similarly experienced declining profits because of lower reimbursement rates for prescription drugs.

I say he, his wife, son, and brother walk away with a sizable stack of campaign cash. The whole Biden is a “decent” guy shtick is grossly overblown. Run enough money by that family and they will do what is wanted.
