Could the pardons backfire on Biden? What I mean is now whoever they investigate would have no protection from self incrimination from past actions but would be able to be prosecuted for current perjury.

This is a question not a statement as I am by no means a legal expert or even close to that.

The pardon has no legal impact unless its accepted. DOJ/FBI/others should as a matter of business be investigating these individuals that have not previously been indicted as the top law enforcement officer in the federal government has reason to believe they committed a crime. The issuance of pardon could be viewed as prima facie evidence that the President knew of criminal activity, if not why would the person need a pardon? I would say its possible that Joe Biden could be forced to testify as to criminal conduct he knew about.

I would assume if these people are brought before Congress or grand jury, they will refuse to testify (5th amendment), so the correct course to me is investigate them and indict them if the evidence exist. If they enter the pardon into the record, they would be accepting the pardon which would imply they were guilty of the offense. They then in general could be forced to testify before Congress and grand juries.

As to your question, yes, the pardons could easily backfire on the people that haven't previously been indicted, imo and its more than just perjury. Lying to further a conspiracy would be a new crime, the feds do this very often to extend statutory time limits.

We'll see, but this Orange Bastard really is hitting the ground running. Lots of work here.

To me, they actually gave everyone a roadmap as to where to go. Where would I go, Biden's house.
