President Joe Biden - Kamala Harris Administration

Just gonna sit back and watch the reactions to this news.

I happened to catch about 20 minutes of his radio show a couple weeks ago. He said the same thing (if what is contained in the tweet is true) on his TV program that he said 2 weeks ago on his radio show.

Looks like someone is creating narratives in which to credit the prez.

Oh she would never do that! How dare you?!

Texas farmers want Biden to pay for damage from illegal immigration

Farmers in Texas have had it with human traffickers streaming illegal immigrants across the border under President Biden’s watch — saying that “coyotes abandon people, steal vehicles, vandalize property and threaten the safety and livelihoods of farmers and ranchers” — and now they want the White House to write them a check for the damages.

The largest organization of farmers in America has taken action behind the scenes this summer to recoup the money that its members have had to fork over during the first six months of the Biden administration to cover all sorts of issues prompted by the spike in illegal migration at the US-Mexico boundary, where more non-citizens are being apprehended while attempting to illegally enter the country every month than any other time in the past 21 years, according to federal data.

Texas Farmers Bureau president Russell Boening told The Post that his group’s farmers, including those who live hundreds of miles north of the international boundary, are seeing human smugglers drive vehicles through their fields of crops, residences broken into, and families left stranded on their property.

The activity has reached a level where farmers are desperate for federal help to stop the crime and cannot sustain the financial hits.

I wonder how many of them who have come across are now working on Texas ranches, farms and construction companies.

Not many, AT&T hired them all to work in my neighborhood digging holes with picks and shovels to put in underground conduit for fiber optic cable. They even had their own food truck.

I've maintained all along that the illegal immigration problem could be cut drastically if Americans would just quit hiring them. Nearly all the new homes being built in our subdivision are being constructed by Hispanic crews. Best I can tell absolutely no city or state governments are enforcing the laws against hiring undocumented workers. It's certainly true here in Alabama. Give me two deputies and I'll bet I can round up 100 in Huntsville before sunset.

That's one of my biggest complaints. We need the laborers, why is the illegal avenue so wide. The central americans are paying a small fortune to get here illegally. Why not permit American "staffing" companies to recruit "employees" for sponsoring companies. Put it on the staffing or sponsoring companies to keep the employees and their family in line.

I really don't have a problem hiring these immigrants for back breaking work that no American wants to do. They need to be given a green card and a SS number and pay taxes though.

In my 20 I was field supervisor for one of the largest painting contractors in Nashville. One year in the late 90's immigration did a round up in some of the subdivisions we were painting. We lost about 35 guys (half of painters) to immigration and I spent the rest of that day and evening rounding up the rest who scattered.

How do you know the hispanic crews building the new homes in your subdivision are here illegally?

the real question is why are they limiting it to only 2 of the x genders?

can identifying as neither male nor female exclude you?

on a more serious note, can a biological male currently be exempt from SS if he identifies as female or something else?

Questions that would of never even been considered just a few years ago. What strange times and I would think 90% of Americans consider it non sense.

Can't believe Bezos hasn't been under fire for spending $5 Billion for an 11 minute flight. Sounds like a pretty capitalistic endeavor to me. How dare he?!

If CBS is gonna pad numbers they should probably go back and readjust the percentages to make sure it makes sense. Also talk about some loaded categories LMFAO! I could be hopeful things get better while believing they are **** 🤡

No wonder you keep up the dumbass lumber debate you really are this stupid 😂

I pass a big lumber yard when I go between houses. It has huge stacks of lumber every time I go by, but I've never seen stockpiles like today. I'm trying to work it out in my mind. Retail prices should begin dropping unless there's a real building boom; and with the way everything is going up, that doesn't seem real. So you have to wonder if they bought a lot of lumber at high prices and get squeezed when prices fall, of if large lumber yards are seeing inventory increase because they aren't willing to drop prices. Something doesn't seem right.

Remember economists and politicians have been telling us for years that there's going to be no need for laborers - we've got it covered with machines so Americans can just move to more upscale jobs. There are some basic holes in that line of thought - like if you buy machines and keep the same level of employment (in the upscale jobs to build, maintain, etc) then you are paying more than you ever did before - so you get to the productivity issue. If you produce more, you have to sell more widgets. If you replace people with machines, you run out of people with incomes to buy stuff, and machines aren't consumers. Not much of it really makes sense; the issue is putting people to work - not replacing them. The whole industrial revolution was based on workers who were in turn consumers.
