There can be no no fiscal accountability in DC at this point. Once one candidate began offering free stuff for votes, it was game over. Want to win; you have to compete.

I have wondered something. In all honesty, like you alluded to, can true fiscal accountability exist? I don’t think it can. Whomever is in office usually ends up on massive, ridiculous spending sprees. Each one touts the massive spending as a necessary means to help the people. That rarely happens.
