I have a coffee roaster at home. It's an air popper kind of like the old air pop popcorn poppers. There is really an art to roasting beans. I don't use it a lot, mainly because it doesn't smell as good as you would think, but it is pretty fun to play with. Anyway, when you roast you are listening for what is called the 'crack' and that is the point when the water in the beans turns into steam and starts to explode the beans (it's a mild explosion, but I didn't have a better word). There are 2 'crack' events. After the first one, if you let them continue to roast you move towards the darker roasts, but are still in the more mild flavors. After the second crack, (and this is where the art comes in) if you stop shortly after that crack finishes you have French roast. Dark and delicious. And better than anything you can buy anywhere. If you let the process continue beyond the French Roast stage for as little as 30 seconds you get to Italian Roast, and as little as 15 seconds beyond that, it's burnt. I am sure there are some out there that would even like what I called the burnt stage, but I'm not one of them. The beans have expelled most if not all their water by then and you are roasting paper.

Very interesting write up. I had no idea how it works. And really people do have different tastes. My wife says "yuck" if I fix oyster stew, and Hog claims pickles are evil ... and I love a good dill pickle. So I guess the message is we can voice what we think, but taste is still just a very individual thing ... but we can still joke about it if it's not meant seriously.

Were it Trump alone, I would think they could probably (pardon the pun) trump up enough charges to 'get' him, but since he would take other high profile peeps down with him, nothing will happen.

That was their real fear, though. I think all the politicians knew that Trump understood the illegal games they played, he hadn't been part of it, so they kept trying to get something to stick. The DC establishment is mortally afraid of outsiders - particularly the loose cannon type. We need to keep electing outsiders until the insiders cut and run or an outsider brings them down. And term limits to keep outsiders from transforming into insiders.

To me that's just gouging, and it's going on at every level back to the well. Speculation at its best - almost impossible in a true competitive market.

Biden came out this morning and said he can't do anything about the surging gas prices that's hurting America's middle class. He's lying big time & as usual. When he said that, you could tell he was lying his ass off. The agenda now is to push the excuse that it's all Russia's fault.

Potato Head Biden doesn't hate oil ..... just American oil. Biden's relationship with the OPEC nations .... OPEC would rather stick to the agreements that's already been made than even talk to the idiot Biden on his proposals of getting out of his own self-made inflicted problem.
