Presidential Pardons only deal with violations of federal law, which is why some of these crime should be investigated as it could involve multiple jurisdictions which could be prosecuted. Further, the pardons do not stop civil process at the federal level.not at the federal level. but I thought if you break a state law you can be still charged.
If I read that correctly, a pardon isn't really considered in effect until it's accepted, and it isn't considered accepted until there are charges. As such, "accepting" the pardon is basically a guilty plea. So, it means a lot that the process can and should happen. That acceptance takes "pleading the 5th" off the table, so they have to answer questions honestly as part of the process.not at the federal level. but I thought if you break a state law you can be still charged.
Yea, they can still be charged by a State in one of LG’s “completely unrelated and uncoordinated” actions.not at the federal level. but I thought if you break a state law you can be still charged.
Gerald Ford’s pardon of Nixon was preemptive.
I have no idea what will happen if these people get called to testify.
They can obviously still be pursued by a State AG or DA.
But this overturning of a Presidential Pardon is fool’s gold.
