President Trump's Cabinet?

Before you say it, I am aware that Jarrett isn't a Cabinet member, but she is an integral part of the team.

Wtf...so your thesis is individuals don't matter because regardless of what they do, the sun still rises. Cool.
Pretty much, yeah. I have learned to worry about things that I can control. Trump's choice of Cabinet members isn't under my control, therefore I don't worry about that.

Judging by the reaction of the looney left I'd say he's off to a great start..😂

After studying up a bit, I like the idea of General James Mattis as SecDef.

General 'Maddog' Mattis's best quotes - Business Insider

16 Best Gen. James "Mad Dog" Mattis Quotes

He doesn't mince words and is not a politician. It very well could be the best thing that's happened to the Department of Defense in a long time.

Just wonder how they can get around the law requiring officers to be separated from active service for at least 7 years prior to being nominated for the SoD (Mattis retired in 2013). I wonder if Congress could grant a waiver?

They can. Saw that in another article.

?Mad Dog? Mattis Front Runner for DOD - The Daily Beast

Mattis has only been out of the military for four years, not the seven years required by law, so Congress would have to design a workaround—and a senator and a senior congressional staffer both tell The Daily Beast that they’re working on it. They spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss the still-evolving matter.

Retired four-star Gen. David Petraeus is also in the running for the top defense post—and he also hasn’t been out of uniform long enough to legally serve as defense secretary—but the sources say Mattis has been the main focus of the discussions in Congress.

“It would require a waiver, but that has happened in the past,” McCain said.

So they only have 4 years to wreck the world?

Everybody makes too much of it, compared to you. Despite what you think, this stuff matters
Here is the problem with your generation (and younger) IN MY OPINION, which is worth what you paid for it. I see this with younger people that are my relatives.

You folks have been raised to think that the world revolves around you, and that YOU are an individual, and YOU are important, and YOU matter. Well, in my opinion, you are an insignificant pipsqueak in the grand scheme of things, just like I am and about everybody else.

The world goes on just the same, with you or without you or me. The cemeteries are full of indispensable people. If you die tomorrow, you are lucky if more than 10 people give a rat's ass. In closing, what you think or what I think doesn't amount to much. So, don't take yourself so seriously, because you ain't all that.

First of all, yes! From anyone who has ever held a clearance, **** her.

Second, locking her up would be doing Bill a favor. Let that conniving ***** loose to torment his ass forever.
I held a TS clearance at one point in my life as well. I guess that is why I find such cavalier beliefs and actions concerning opsec throughout the democrat party so unbelievable. Locking her up would give many a sense of justice, but actually I would rather they take away what she worked so far for and that is all the money she gained through selling access to high office. I would like to see her and Bill more broke than the day they stole White House silverware. Barring that though, I want to see her in chains. Everyone equal under the law? Isn't that the saying?

Perhaps some people consider the credentials of who will be advising a President who has no experience of either working in Congress or in governance at all to be a matter of importance? His learning curve is steeper than any other President-elect in modern history and before you bring up Obama - he was at least a Constitutional scholar who was in the Senate.

Trump's appointments so far demonstrate that he is most interested in rewarding those who campaigned for him... and kicking Chris Christie to the curb who had the nerve to prosecute his son-in-law's dad 10 years ago.
The dudes that sweep the floors in the Senate were there as much as that clown.

The second part of your post is just a straw grab.

If I am remembering this correctly, I believe that back in the early 90s Admiral Snuffy Smith was this kind of character. He had served during Vietnam and saw what a debacle that was because of ***** politicians. He and some of the other 3 and 4 stars drafted a plan that would determine the requirements/need/desires to engage an enemy in hostile actions. part of that plan however was to go in it to win it. Use overwhelming force and whip dey azz. Along came Bosnia and the plan was basically ignored. That is when he and the others left in disgust.

Hopefully Mad Dog will bring that kind of thinking back under a President with a spine.

Anybody else remember this?

Bravo sir. Those that have served in the military or to a much lesser extent as a member of a good sports team know this. Unless of course, like Huff, you were the star quarterback.

Whomever Trump selects as his cabinet members will not likely have much of any effect on you or I, which is why you don't care.

Whomever Trump selects as his cabinet members will certainly have an impact on a lot of people, which is why I care.

Now go on and tell me how egocentric my generation is.

.....and tell me just how much your caring is going to change anything, except how you feel about yourself. You can't change the world. You aren't important enough.
