Rand Paul said he is a automatic no on John Bolton for ANY position in the State Departement and will work to defeat his nomination to any post.
Good for Rand Paul and basic human decency.
You know, I'm starting to think that Putin overplayed his hand with this Tillerson pick, so clearly a nod on Trump's part to Putin for his favors that I'm now starting to question whether or not Trump is a witting Russian agent rather than the idiot ingenue I previously thought him. This pick is so universally disdained (except for on this site, evidently) and beyond the pale that I now see an emerging bipartisan consensus forming on the Russian question, a consensus that did not exist before this nomination.
Looks like Putin got a bit too greedy, and now the gravy train may be about to be put on hold. It's difficult to blame him though; with the ease at which he played this entire nation for a bunch of fools, it's understandable why he would have temporarily put down his guard.
If I may do so I'd like to ask something of you... Be patient and give Trump a chance. Instead of automatically writing him off.
You don't seem to understand.
I gave him a chance. It lasted about a day, until the Unifier-in-chief-elect completely blew it. He is what he is - the same imbecile we grew so fond of from the campaign trail, and that isn't going to change.
He is without question the most divisive figure in American politics in at least a century, and he will end up proving the most divisive president we've had since perhaps Andrew Johnson.
Who is a Putin supporter?
I could be off-my-rocker, as others have pointed out, but possibly the guy who does nothing but praise him, nominates his top American ally to America's top diplomatic position, called for him to hack his opponent, and probably knew the truth behind the Wikileaks ordeal the entire time but never said anything? Maybe that guy?
I would love to see the apocalyptic rage sent forth by VolProf if Pence somehow became incapacitated and Cheney was nominated to take his place.
Meltdowns of all meltdowns.
I frankly hold Dick Cheney in really high regard in his role as vice president and as an American, Pence said on ABCs "This Week."
