Wrong assumption. Trump was just better than the other guy - voting for the lesser of two completely unqualified candidates doesn't mean supporting him. He was president before my time, but in interviews today he certainly does not have the demeanor of someone you typically associate with being president. He's a fairly soft-spoken, reserved, almost meek kind of guy. Certainly didn't come from any sort of elite political background, either by birth or going through Ivy League schools.
