Preston Williams test score flagged by NCAA

I understand that he wants and expects to play, and that's all well and good, but there is a difference between that and being ready to play. He may have been studying the playbook the whole time, but there is still the issue of being in football shape. You can still be in good shape and not be in football shape. I will trust the coaches to do what is right in this situation, but in my view, he would benefit from a redshirt.

Jayson Swain is one of the "everyone". Has said more than once that, in his opinion, PWill will be the best wr on the roster the minute he suits up. Tifwiw.

It sounds like he was talking talent wise, and that he may be. but its a big reach to suggest he's a no doubt 3 year player.

Injury first week of November, surgery a couple weeks later.

If that's true, it's coming on 9 months. Any ACL repair under normal healing and progress should be able to cut some time ago. They should be doing any activity whatsoever to their tolerance at that point. There may be or have been set backs along the way, or more issues than just the ACL. Sometimes other things are injured along with it that delay full recovery. Unfortunate that he's not been released for cutting by now.

I just don't understand why this takes so long. The NCAA should see the score and immediately give the green light or red light. How damn complicated can it be?

NCAA doesn't care. As long as they're getting paid they'll take their sweet azz time

That's my thought but logic is not a character trait required at the AA

Just a thought, no basis whatsoever.
If he passed, things would probably go fairly quickly.
If he failed, you may never get that answer from anyone important. IMO, the longer this thing goes, the more likely it is that he didn't pass the test and they are trying to figure out the next move.

There is no common sense or logic with the AA. He probably passed again and the AA is trying to figure out if it was legit for a second time. Would not be surprised to see Him miss some games then the AA will clear him.

Still nothing here? I can understand no news if he failed the test, but if he passed and the NCAA is just dragging ass for no reason, that speaks to the uselessness of the NCAA.

The testing center is the hold up. NCAA was still waiting. Not sure they have results yet but was definitely told testing center was the holdup.

It takes a lot to put the scan tron through the computer. The hardest part for them is probably logging out of facebook and getting up out of their chair. I mean the reader is all the way on the other side of the room.

As a teacher, I can attest to this. Although for me, it's not logging out of FB, it's logging off of VN...:)

Didn't Matthews say he could stay on campus and take the test a few more times just not practice with the team?

That is one option for sure. He can test all he wants but I think he wants to play and the thought is he will go if he can't get in here. Just speculation though. I hope he stays cause I want to see him play for us

I highly doubt it would take 6 months. Not that I expect him to play this year but it doesn't take that long to grade a test taken on a scantron. If he has to retake it supervised by someone from the NCAA they could realistically send it off to get scored and have the test results within a few days. The only reason it takes so long in the first place is because if you take it on a national testing day your test is being shipped off to the grading center with thousands of other tests.

Thanks for playing. Like I said four weeks ago nothing involving the NCAA is fast.
