I mean he hasn’t even signed anyone yet. The infatuation will wear off once he actually has to play some games at Colorado.

I agree. Someone else said it in his thread: he was successful at j’ville st. because he was using D1 talent against DIII talent. Once the field is leveled & he’s playing against other DI teams, he’ll be exposed

At least that's what they HOPE to happen.
And Jackson St (NOT Jacksonville State) is FCS. You have D2 below that then D 3.

SEC coaching is just as good as the talent that resides there.

Pac 12 not so much.

Colorado will go from 1 win in 2022 to Bowl eligible in 2023 imo

The portal guys that he got were not starters. Were they really D1 talent?

I hope he does very well, after what those leeches at Jackson State did to him. You should read up on it before you slim him.

I concur. Personally, I thought he was a strong fit for the Auburn job. Could have off-loaded some of the bammer talent downstate.

Jump straight from Jackson state to the sec? No way he’s ready for that

How is he scumbag?
I don't know if he's a scumbag, but what did he tell that 5=star recruit to sign with Jackson State only to bolt to Colorado himself?
What did the leeches at Jackson State do to Coach Sanders? I wasn't paying attention.
Sanders increased attendance at Jackson State games by what, 10k?

So he did what every coach does? Should we be judging CJH for leaving another program to come to ours. For recruiting for his old school all the way up until the moment he worked for us?

He told Travis Hunter he’d take him with him when he landed at a bigger program…and he did. I was a big doubter of Deion as a HC and still wonder how long his interest will hold up. But he delivered on that stage and I’m not betting against him.

I think Colorado is going to be the first real test of his prowess as a coach.
Can he play the game?...one of the best ever at his position, arguably...so check.
Can he recruit?...as most point out, he got D1 talent to play at an FCS school...so check.
Does he know the game?...again, arguably one of the best to ever put on a pair of cleats... check.
Can he teach someone else to play the game at a high level?...her is where we'll all be waiting for an answer.

IMO, the talent level increase alone in tje next couple of years will make Colorado a mid-level Pac 12 team. If Sanders is a good coach, they should contend for P12 titles soon.

Dude loves himself and makes it all about him over the players.

Heupel doesn’t do that.

That's what I expect as well, but he is getting some really talented guys at Colorado. We will see.

He may be doing this already but if he can surround himself with good coordinates then sheesh. Dude will kill it.
