I am shocked and saddened. I just saw him perform in Oakland last month. He is my 2nd favorite artist behind only Dylan. Truly one of the greatest musicians of all time.

Great singer and performer as well as a prolific songwriter... I loved "Little Red Corvette" and remember listening to it in the car with my mom when I was a kid - and not understanding why she was telling me it was dirty (but like a lot of his stuff - it really was!). RIP Prince Rogers Nelson

Sucks for her dying at the same time as Prince. The 15 minutes she would have gotten has been reduced to 5.

Many of the greats that I listened to growing up are now gone. Prince, as has been stated, was one of best of all-time. Awesome musician.

My older sisters got me in to Prince when I was a kid. True artist and performer. I'm still shocked. What a damn terrible day this has turned out to be.
