TMZ now reporting he was treated for overdose 6 days ago at a hospital and then left against doctor's advice when he couldn't get a private room.

His vaults are filled with unreleased music. He has a recorded album he and Miles Davis did that has never been released. Under the sad circumstances perhaps this may be released in the near future.

True story. Went to a club once because I knew Prince was gonna be there after a concert. I stood by this metal staircase in the corner of the club and Prince plus his entourage went up the staircase for awhile to eat and chill out.

Prince is ready to leave and is walking down the staircase behind his bodyguards. I climb the staircase, put my arm around Prince's neck and start talking to him. He never acknowledges me and keeps his eyes focused on the floor.

His bodyguard sees me, grabs me by one arm and throws me off the stairs and into the dance floor. Greatest moment of my life. Ha ha.

I have always hoped for those to be released. Years ago I listened to a supposed bootleg of those recordings, they were muddled and unlistenable and I doubted the authenticity.

Does anyone know Dave Chappelle's and Charlie Murphy's agents? We need this reenactment to happen!

The measure of his influence extends far beyond even songs that he recorded. One short anecdote: In 1981, a British artist named Sheena Easton who had a pristine and proper, girl next door image had a billboard #1 hit with 'Morning Train', an incredibly cheesy pop song... She began dating Prince in 1985 and later scored a #9 billboard hit with 'Sugar Walls' written and produced by Prince, a hyper-sexual song with such lyrics as 'Come inside my sugar walls" - Some radio stations refused to play it and it was even briefly banned on MTV. He totally corrupted her. LOL.

Other songs written by Prince that became top 10 hits for other artists:

"Nothing Compares 2 U" - Sinead O'Connor
"Manic Monday" - The Bangles
"Glamorous Life" - Sheila E

...and I hate to mention it but would anyone be surprised if it's revealed that he had been suffering from AIDS? That was my first thought when I heard that he had passed away.
