Surely we can do better than return assault in exchange for words, right?
Sure, if they're directed at me. I can't promise the same courtesy if you're an adult and choose to go after my sons

I admit the frequency isn’t anything to brag about, but undercover FBI agents have done some great field work breaking up sex trafficking rings, car theft/chop shop rings and did some pretty good work in the aftermath of 9-11. I have 2 friends that are agents that have been involved in the investigation, capture and conviction of kidnapping and murder convicts. We wouldn’t suffer without them, but they have their uses.

I've only known one agent, his son played travel ball with ours. He was a good guy and hated the FBI, he was on countdown to retirement in his 30's.

He got started much earlier in life. I know someone that was friends with Jill's first husband while they were still married.
My first memory of Scranton Joe was in 1987 when he had to drop out of the Presidential race for blatant plagiarism. I (mistakenly) thought his political career was over. But I underestimated the Democrat immunity from natural consequences

So by your logic, every „scumbag“ (your assessment not mine) gets 11 years in the slammer? Wow. We are going to need a whole lot more prisons I guess

You love to put words and arguments in the mouths of others. Learn to read.

So does that excuse the wrong that was done by the government? I can post you videos of teenagers playing the knockout game, and knocking out old people. Should they receive the same treatment from the FBI and DOJ? Or do you condone the treatment he received because of his views? I'm genuinely curious, because it seems most people are okay with wrong, as long as it's done to someone who believes different about something political, and I don't understand that.

I think the punishment should match the crime. I'd say participation in the knockout game should be dealt with much more harshly than this.

He was a champion of baby killing. That type of behavior is justified for such a worthy cause.

He was engaged in a legal activity and your position is that because you disagree with said activity... he deserves a beating and said beating should be legal?

When he accosted the kid he was no longer minding his own business and was borderline legal if not already crossed over.

Old man acted like an ass, got knocked to the ground for it. Shouldn't even be on local police radar let alone the Justice Dept.

To be clear, we're specifically talking about attacking your son verbally.

If so, teaching your son to use violence when someone uses harsh words is not good parenting.

So, shoved to the ground by a man protecting his son constitutes “a beating”? Seriously? You exaggerate the situation greatly. The FBI’s involvement in this at all is nothing short of completely out of bounds.

He's a pos going after kids.

So to be clear, you are in favor of battering those engage in a legal activity due your disagreement with said activity.

I have no idea where your plan could go wrong. Can I batter you because you attend church services with which I disagree? How about because you don't blow the grass off the street after mowing your yard? How about because you voted for Trump?

If I'm standing outside your daughter's school and I'm acosting your child the way he was, I deserve the butt kicking.

You could also say it's a good lesson for the kid, act like a jackwagon and you can find yourself on the ground. Best to mind your own business and be polite.

There might be less azzholes in the world if they were afraid of being battered.

Someone so unhinged to go out of their way to yell at a kid you just don't know what they might do next so it's IMO a justifiable shove to remove the threat. Had the old man been accosting the father I would feel differently.

He knocked a 72 year old man to the ground. He's a scumbag.
I would argue the 72 year old man was a scumbag as well. You don't harass another man's kids, he was warned, asked to go back to his area, he continued.

If anything it was scumbag against scumbag crime and the guy that met pavement was the antagonist. The real crime was the attempted hit on him using federal agencies.

If that doesn't concern you then perhaps you're part of the larger problem.
