Dang it. Wish I hadn't watched that trailer. Who the hell puts out a trailer like that which seems to clearly explain most of all the plot points!!!!

EVERYBODY........well you see a lot of movie's Show you a trailer where the the best part or main theme or funniest scene is show. the old bait and hook or bait and switch. It's a lot move common now than say even 5 or 6 years ago.

I am looking forward to seeing this movie. However, I am getting sick and tired of seeing a commercial for Coors beer wrapped up in a movie preview.

I hope the movie isn't loaded down with product placement.

My hopes must have been too high. I left the theatre feeling disappointed. It was ok, and I kinda sorta liked it, but I also sorta didn't care for it...

watched original alien last night - picked up on several things that I never noticed the first time around.

I felt the same way. Had huge expectations but really didn't live up to what I expected from a Ridley Scott Sci Fi film. Leaves too many questions unanswered. Visually though it was stunning.

Great visuals, if your expectation is an alien prequel youll hate it.

Overall I thought it was a good movie that answered and proposed new questions.

It was never confirmed as a prequel to Alien right? I saw it was set in the same universe but was its own independent story.

the presence of the "U"-shaped ship makes you wonder, but if they were going to do a true prequel, the level of technology should have been about what we saw on the Nostromo

They should do like in Terminator series show ya how the droids were made..

I liked it a lot.

It's not a direct prequel to the first Alien movie, in fact, it creates more questions than it answers.

I liked it, but wasn't blown away by it. The visual effects were great.

To me, it was like Avatar and Event Horizon had a baby. That's just me though.

Avatar is horrible and Event Horizon had moments then vanished.

I can see their baby comparison though. I also felt it had a lot of Red Planet and Mission to Mars to it.

I also think they chose the wrong name for the movie. The ship didn't really have anything to do with the plot, and most of the real action happened inside the structure on the surface.

Maybe I'm being a just a bit hard on the movie, but it could have been done better.
