Proud Boys Leader Arrested in DC

In case you missed the not so subtle reference:

Seattle Bill Could ‘Legalize Crime’ For Those In Poverty or With Behavioral Issues

Maybe he stole the banner because he couldn't afford his own?

And there are some that say supporting Trump is a mental illness...

Kinda sounds a bit absurd when used against you, right?
Who gives a **** what Seattle thinks about anything. Dude thieved a flag from a church, burned it, and got called on it. And you are trying your best to give him a pass. Not sure why you want to die on this hill, but whatever.

Believe he was charged for burning a BLM banner along with the gun charges. Burning a BLM banner is now a crime? Not free speech, but a crime. Look, these guys are idiots, but we are now subjectively picking and choosing free speech. Burn an American flag, cool. BLM flag? Aww, hell no! The gun charge is what will get him time though.

Pretty sure the way the "law" works is if you burn someone *else's* stuff, it's a crime.
For you people who say the weapons charge will be thrown out, probably not. The courts have upheld those types of limitations. California, for instance, has several restrictions on assault rifles that have been upheld by the courts. Go to GunBroker.com and look at the ads for AR-15s. You will see guns described as California compliant and one of the features is a limit on the magazine capacity to 10 rounds. DC has the same type of restriction.

Most of the time these militia types get in trouble for being within one of the 9 categories of people not allowed to possess firearms (not just own, but possess), the most prevalent being a conviction for domestic violence. FYI, that's federal law.

The Catch-22 is that if you are found guilty of violating the magazine restriction, it could mean you never get to own another gun again, if your conviction is a felony in that state.

Yeah, the Proudbag guy is a convicted felon btw.

I just want to make sure the standards are held fairly across the board. Plus, I think the Metro PD is just harassing a POC because they are racist. Metro PD should be defunded because they are enforcing laws designed to keep minorities incarcerated. I think the rest of the Proud Boys should peacefully protest against these racist policies sometime tonight in a major shopping district.

he should be charged with misdemeanor vandalism, no question about that. The high capacity magazine charges are bullshot.

In case one is outnumbered by “peaceful” protestors.

If you "need" more than 10 rounds v. a group of protesters, you dead anyway.

Have at it, if you like. Go to DC and be sure to open carry your weapon too. [You'll be arrested]

Life is not good when you can be arrested for possessing harmless objects.

Harmless. Oh, ummm... right. Harmless.

Yeah, I'm with you on this one. We should give kids these harmless objects - filled with harmless bullets - as soon as they enter kindergarten. Think of all the funny merriment (and harmless) fun they can have with one another on the playground.

A 30 round magazine is about as dangerous as a stick and less dangerous than a brick.

I have guns. I also have common sense. Clearly you lack the latter.

Your stupid example says otherwise.

The law in DC is the law. You're welcome to violate the law there. And if you do so, you will be punished accordingly.

Life is good.
For about $15k there will be no actual punishment in DC. That was a few years ago so it likely costs more these days

Let's not be so quick to judge. I'm sure he had a valid reason for burning something in protest of his ideals.
I could give a **** that he burned a flag. I do not care. He was charged with destruction of property because he committed theft and then made his statement.
