Proud of Joe

Joe played well; but that fumble was on him. He was back there for a LONG time, his internal clock has to start going off at that point.
He gave up 7 and left 8 more on the field the first half because he has no touch on the ball His receivers made him look better in the first half with both overthrown and underthrown balls I doubt he would start for any team in the SEC but us , he is average at best

Blah blah so proud of Joe he didn't lose us the game with horrible INTs like he usually does but once again didn't make the critical throws to win the game. Sounds like a QB we had a few years ago...

We don't have a passing game, at least one with any distance to it. But really, there's enough blame to go around for this loss.

This was one of Milton’s better games I’ll give him that. Turnover was killer but he ran much better
Yea, still has those misses…missed an open TE for a TD (we got 3)…but definitely like that he pulled it down and ran much more today…he just needs to remember he’s 6’5” 250 pounds. That 3rd down where he came up short is a first down if he just keeps going full speed ahead but he slowed dow and juked…

Zero points in the 2nd half. A lot of that might be play calling. But a lot of that is failure to execute. The QB included. That throw at the end of our next to last drive where we failed to convert (after two inexcusable false starts) wasn’t close to anyone. You might throw an interception but at least put it where a receiver has a chance.

Oh well. This team just doesn’t have that “it” factor. No Tennessee team has since 1998. The 2001 team was close but still choked against a back-up LSU QB. Last year was nice but still not a championship or even really a chance for one after we found a way to just lay down and die against SCar.

Frustrating. Back to work, I guess. Let’s see how the rest of the season plays out.
Nailed it.

I’m not saying he has turned the corner, I just believe he played well enough for us to win the game
Joe is not going to turn a corner. He's a 6 year senior and has been in this offense 2 years. He is Joe!

I thought he played well. Missed some critical passes. Timing off on a couple pitches. No footwork ever in the pocket.

This loss is NOT on Joe Milton. The OL and DL did not come out to play 2nd half.

This is his 3rd year in the TN offense. His ability to execute at a high level and at a rapid pace seem suspect. He played his best half since coming to TN, but offered little in the 2nd half.

I stand corrected. Thanks.

All the more reason he won't be turning any corners.

By all indication a great young man. I respect he's hung in there. A VFL for sure. Just not an elite QB.
