Proud of Joe

Milroe had one deep pass that shouldn't have been counted due to missed holding.
Milroe won the game. Milroe made throws when they mattered. Milroe made good decisions when he needed to. Milroe showed some football IQ. Much of what Joe can’t and never has done.

These type comments are so telling as to the level of quarterback he is. It’s just disappointing we get it the smartest offensive coach here we’ve had in my lifetime, and he is unable to recognize some thing people that know very little about football and I’ve never coached it down. Could see as obvious as the son. Milton isn’t a good quarterback.

He doesn’t consistently make accurate throws, he’s not an explosive runner, and he makes huge mental mistakes in every game weather it is running out of bounds short of the sticks on fourth down or holding the ball too long fumbling from a blindside hit. He’s just not a good player.

Only Tennessee could have such an intelligent head coach make such a dumb decision. Most of us fans have never coached a down of football and yet were able to recognize three years ago that Milton didn’t have any of the necessary skills to be a great quarterback.
He’s only got 5 games left here, it’s time for people to lay off. He wasn’t even the reason we lost.

You tell us.
Honestly the 2nd half was the worst play calling I have seen yet from Heupel. Couple that with the horrible 4th and 1 which gave them 7 points. 2nd half I would say was a total collapse. It started with not bringing pressure on their QB. Couple with some missed tackles. We disappeared. That's on coaching

We couldn’t get to the qb because they were holding our players on every snap and the refs never called one penalty for it.

"Played well enough to win" will never get it done against the Bama's and UGAs of the world.
I just hope it's good enough to beat UK or Mizzou on the road. Gimme a split of those two, and I'm a happy camper. Get to 8 wins and this team had about as good a season as could be expected with this roster.

We rushed 4. Yeah there was a lot of holding but we sinply didn't do what was needed.
Not in the second for sure, we let one slip away, but I blame that on Heupel and the piss poor play calling and the boneheaded decision to go for it on 4th down twice that resulted in 10 points for Bama.

The offence has been totally neutered due to Miltons inability. I appreciate his heart and loyalty. I understand why the coaches have given him a long rope, but hes one of the worst Qbs in the SEC. We are an average QB away from being a legit contender. The fact we are running the option, and screens all game long tell you all you need to know about how confidant the coaches are in him.

Joe is a class act but he is not an SEC or even D1 starting QB. I’m watching the FSU/ Duke game and find myself wondering how different things would be with Riley Leonard at the helm. I never thought I’d be jealous of Duke’s QB but here we are

He sure had good IQ on his fumble and INT, great IQ on a missed read play and several inaccurate throws. He made bad decisions the entire first half and held onto the ball for years. His OL and running attack (and his DBs holding our WRs/no calls) won him the game, not his play

Just check the stats, seriously. Saying he won so he made the winning plays doesn’t hold water, other players played well (aka what happened for Milton against A&M)

Come on. Milton played about as well as he's capable of playing tonight. He ran hard and busted his butt. Did he make mistakes? Absolutely but he didn't give up. Not sure I can say that for every player wearing white today.
