Proud of Peyton.

Another testament to Manning's greatness is how hard a lot of people have to work at making the case that he is not the greatest QB in NFL history. Many of you sure spend a lot of time trying to prove a negative.

The articles, posts, etc stating why Manning is not the greatest ever far outnumbers those saying that he is. Why is that?

There have been a handful of great QBs in NFL history. Manning is one of them and that's a great accomplishment.

Peyton may be the last standing drop back quarterback...His days may be numbered.. and the days of NFL drop back quarterbacks surely are.. just ask the Seahawks and qb Wilson ...Tremendous NFL run anyway.. Will Denver be back to Super bowl before he retires??

Could very well see a rematch next February. Both teams will be favorites again.

You counted them all?

Peyton is obviously a smart QB, BUT he did not make a smart decision in signing with Denver!!!! He could have signed with SF or SEA, but he went for the glamorous offense team instead of choosing a team that had the Defense to win a Super Bowl. If he would have signed with SF, we would probably be talking about Peyton Manning, a 3 time Super Bowl winner.

The truth has a strange way of being, well. . . true.

I feel very bad for Peyton. This loss was the most dominating, one sided game I have ever seen in the NFL. The fact that Peyton had the most prolific offense in NFL history makes it even worse. He really showed his age in this game. I am totally baffled as to why the offense could not score more. Yes Seattles defense is great but so is Denver's offense.

I hate to say it but his legacy to a hit tonight. I don't like it but it's true. Peyton is the greatest regular season QB ever but his production drop offs in the post season cannot be ignored. He is one of the greatest to ever play and hopefully he can come back next year and make another SB run. If he doesn't, then it has been a great honor to have watched him over the years. I will always be a fan. Go Peyton!

Everyone's production drops in the post season. It isn't the Dolphins and Browns they are playing. Marino went to the Superbowl after his record setting year and was demolished by a better team. Defense wins these games.

your point was useless because there was no way to know how your fantasy game played out. Without that you are simply making up stuff in an attempt to call out people who don't exist. Good job

People that don't exist, huh?
On second thought, nevermind.
I'm not taking the bait.
I know your game.

SF or SEA defense wouldn't look so hot if their QB's were throwing 50 passes a game. Denver was a lot better on defense team with Tebow.

Manning is not the best ever. No one really is. Its is too hard to prove. There are bunch of top notch QBs and I put him in that group. The interesting thing to me about all this is there are a lot of people, including many in the media, that want to make sure everyone knows he is not the greatest ever. And, even more interesting to me, those same people essentially want you to believe that he is some kind of failure because he can't definitively be called the best ever. I have never seen this approach by the fans/media to any other QB in the 50 years I have been watching football. And more amazingly, this started way back when he was a senior in college. My only theory is its something about his last name. Had he been born named Zeke Strunk, this may not have occurred.

drop back QBs are having problems because most OLs suck and injuries to OLinemen pile up fast --- Denver wont be back unless they get some DBs that can play NFL football.
