Proud of the way Nico played

Nico is fine and will be much better if we can find an OL that can pass protect. He ran for his life against good DLs. Only knock on Nico is he has to get better at seeing the open receivers.

Nico Iamaleava finishes his season with 19 TDs. 15 of these came against UTEP, Vandy, Mississippi St, NC St, Oklahoma, Chattanooga, and Kentucky. He combined for 4 TDs against Bama, UGA, Florida, Arkansas, and Ohio St. (lost 3 of these 5 games).

You can't possibly know that in all honesty. When a QB doesn't have consistency in his OL it is hard to have a rhythm when you are always guessing who is going to olay a damn block infront of you and potentially get you killed. I am not saying he has been perfect, he needs to grow just like this entire football team. He doesnt run around like Manziel, but he damn sure isn't partying every night like him either. Tua hardly ever got touched in college because Bama had the best talent money could buy. Lawrence had a very good OL and Wr we wish we had. Very good defense there also. The OSU guys you mentioned all had better teams. If I left any out it all starts with OL and if you don't have a good one you need wheels. All of those guys all had escapability. Nico has it but he also needs a little time.
Offensive Lineman is the most important position group on a football team. Without a good offensive line it doesn’t matter who your qb, rbs, or WRs are. They won’t be able to create anything. People never bring up the o line until it’s terrible. Never get any of the credit when the offense is successful but most of the blame when it sucks. We need a complete unit up there. It takes time and chemistry for a o line to work like a well oiled machine.

Nico MUST take the reins next year as the clear cut leader of this team. I have no doubt that he wanted that OSU game badly. The kid is tough as nails.
