My response is simple. We have no choice. CJP is here, for a while, regardless of what any individual may think. So, we can embrace him, support him and the players, or get on here and pubically pitch a fit, moan, and groan.

Can someone tell me what the benefit of the moaning and groaning is? What purpose does it serve? Constantly looking backwards complaining about the past is a complete waste of time. Trust me, I’ve lived long enough and wasted enough time and words to be considered an expert.

While I may be disappointed in the results on this signing day, I’m going to CHOOSE to remain positive, focus on the future, and hope for the best.

Like I said earlier...for a true Vol fan, what other realistic choice do we have?

What really can't be argued is this wasn't a good day for the Vols.

One of the main rivals in the division put together a historic class and 6 other teams in the conference did better on paper than Pruitt and the Vols. And it totally remains to be seen how these guys "coach em up" since they have had the benefit of coaching for high end programs with high end recruits.

The other issue that cant be argued is Georgia was probably going to sign this class even if we hired the spirit of Vince Lombardi as our head coach instead of CJP....

We went from the mid sixties to 20th depending on what poll you look at, after last years debacle I think it’s nothing short of a miracle. Wtf

Not sure this whole college athletics thing is for you. Winter Olympics is coming up. Maybe that’ll be a bit less stressful for you. Curling possibly is about the speed for you.

With all thats went on here this season and giving the short time this staff had to recruit, we still finished higher than TCU and Michigan.

Folks need a dose of reality. I a Vol through and through and I am tired if losing too, but this ain't going to be like GA. Best we can hope for is this rebuild is one year shorter than Butch. 7-5 next yr. 8-4 in 2019. 9-3 10-2 in 2020 after GA plateaus.

He moved our class from a 60 ranking to a top 20 ranking in a few short weeks. How is that bombing NSD ? I'm new to Volnation but do not understand the defeatist attitude by many of the posters on Volnation. Most are acting like the old aunt or grandmother who complains all the time. Lets wait to see how they perform in the fall and you will know if Pruitt was a good coaching hire. All the negative posters should jump ship and go root for Alabama or Georgia but I bet they would still complain just as much as they are here.

Your kidding,right??Staying at bama and finishing what he started was the right thing to do.I guess were not use to that.We got the ones we need and not many freshmen are going to win games anyway.

To be honest, I was kinda thinking the same thing at one point today. Then I took a step back from the ledge, took a deep breath and reminded myself that we are no longer a powerhouse SEC football program. And following a season in which we went winless in conference, a recruiting class ranked 20-25 is totally acceptable and will keep us on track to compete with the Kentucky's and Vanderbilt's of our league!

He did not bomb NSD. We signed a good class.We were in on some of the best players in the country that were not considering us before he was hired. We flipped two players from Alabubba. We didn't close today like many of us had hoped for but this class is far from a bust.

A 20 ranking should not piss anyone off with the record we had and the Currie debacle. You should be rejoicing if you are a Vol fan.

Derek Dickey, with bad breath, his pants unzipped and arrogant attitude got Vols in Top 20 every yr. JP took over a cluster****. Let’s give him a couple yrs.
