Pruitt Staffers

I'm not sure Grier returns next year but either way we should still best W.Va.They are a 7-5 team this year and probably 7-6 after their bowl game. They don't play D and the teams that beat them this have have been the teams that actually play some defense. I would be more worried if it was a home game for them but it's a neutral site game. They also have 21 SRs on their roster. Not sure where they fall on the depth chart but that's a lot regardless.
He is returning and ut should be fine. Grier had a good yr but throws a lot up for grab and defensively they lose all their good players

I am honestly surprised he's coming back especially after getting hurt. Wasn't sure he would wanna risk getting hurt worse or having a bad season and hurt his stock. Honestly don't think he's more than an average QB but the system at W.Va fits him perfectly. He's very turnover prone and the bigger, more physical Defense's give W.Virginia's offense fits. And the Mountaineer's haven't ever heard of playing Defense. I have seen people already cough the W.Va game up as a loss and I don't see it. At best they are a very average Big 12 team. It's really a game we should win but be competitive for a good part of the game.

Added some updates based on TOS report

Tight End/ Special teams coach look for Joe Pannunzio to get a serious look from Pruitt at Alabama and also Shane Beamer at Georgia who also coaches Tight Ends/ Special teams.

On McClendon... confidence fading here. No idea what direction they go.

Look for Vic Viloria at FSU to be one of the top candidates for strength and conditioning coach.

• Widely considered one of the best and most innovative strength coaches in the country, Vic Viloria enters his seventh season as Florida State football’s head strength and conditioning coach.

• Under Viloria, FSU became the first college football program to utilize advanced GPS technology to measure energy exertion and regulate rest and physical action.

• Viloria was at LSU for three years where he worked under the supervision of Tom Moffitt before going to SMU. While at LSU he worked with the Tigers’ nationally ranked football and baseball programs as well as the swimming and golf teams.

• A disciple of renowned weightlifting coach Gayle Hatch, Viloria endorses the “Hatch System” which develops functional and explosive strength in players through the use of free weights, plyometrics and jumping drills.

Florida State's strength coach has done a ton for the Seminoles during the offseason, but is causing a big headache for the university after an embarrassing arrest on Friday night.

According to the Tallahassee Democrat, Vic Viloria was found asleep at the wheel of his truck on the I-10 off-ramp in Tallahassee at 5:06 a.m. early Saturday morning. When officers tried to wake him, he tried to start driving again and hit an electronic cross-walk sign.

The resulting charges, DUI and property damage, are only the start of the strength coach's worries.

Viloria reportedly acknowledged he should not have been driving and told police he had been drinking -- "multiple big alcoholic beverages," per the Democrat -- in his office, on Florida State's campus.

I know he learned from his mistake. Served 1 month suspension time for the incident. We've all fallen short, so if he's CJP guy, then I support the man.

I remember when these events happened. The majority of the FSU fan base here wanted him gone to set a example for the players and consequences you face for bad decisions you make.

Try Dave Lawson

I don't think Lawson was the issues. The injuries and issues didn't come until the year after Lawson was let go and we didn't really have anyone doing S&C.

You can saw what you want, but Lawson's teams always had enough wind in them to keep fighting in the 4th quarter. I don't think he was a bad coach at all.

The only time injuries were an issue with Lawson was Summer practice of 2015. Seems like we lost about 10 guys before the season

Yes, that is FSU fans mojo lmao. They felt the same with Winston, etc.

Looks as if you guys have a solid, veteran staff. Congrats. Davis was well thought of at UF. How was Warren regarded at UT?

He was only here for a season, but I think he was well regarded by most. Other than Gillespie, he was the only other coach on the staff that I heard people saying that they would like to keep.

UF burned Warren's DBs for the game winner....just saying. Who is Davis and I don't see him on the OPs list.

My bad. Sorry. You guys got Rumph who was generally regarded as a good D-line coach. Took a very thin unit last year and had them playing serviceably.Davis was our O-line coach who went to Mizzou.
Oh! The only knock on Rumph was that some questioned his recruiting, not his coaching. If it is a fault, I expect Pruitt can compensate.

Oh, also congrats on keeping Gillespie. Lots of us wanted him back, but we already had a good running backs coach. Met Gillespie's Mom once. Classy Lady.

Confused Dave Lawson with Dave Clawson

Dave Clawson?

He’s built a mighty fine program in the ACC Atlantic at one of the smallest and most selective P5 schools.

Started with empty cubboard, and 4 years later is favored over Texas A&M in the Belk Bowl.

I know 2008 was a disaster with the Clawfense, but you can’t argue with the results.

2017 Conference wins: NC State, Louisville, Syracuse & B.C.

He did it by recruiting one player at each position in year 1, and those players are either RS Jr.’s or Seniors. 14-12 in a division with Clemson, FSU & Louisville (2 of the last 4 Natty’s.

GBO!

This thread is useless. We get led on my the media only to be disappointed with the result.(Even though the result turns out fine, we will be disappointed because of the media fake news)
