Wonder if we would look at Chris Beatty at Maryland for WR coach? Heck of a recruiter, graduated from ETSU and from Virginia.

I'm hoping it's more probable that we have got James Coley from Georgia or Scott from Clemson. Just find it strange we haven't named a WR coach yet

Same reason we waited on Kelly; bowl games. A lot of teams that have personnel we are interested in have not completed their seasons.

Only person that could possibly be referring to is Cochran, right? Who else in the S&C world could evoke that kind of response? We hiring Shaun T or Tony Horton?

It may not seem so strange when the hire is made. I am betting whoever it is happens to have another game to coach.

Speaking of strange, what is with the smokey the bear thing at the top left corner? A dog ate some mail which glued his mouth shut? I should be so lucky with mine.

Well remember; We still have the same donors and administrators sticking their noses in it. I am hiding my gold, because these dumbasses would turn it to lead. Never underestimate the potential havoc created by idiots in large numbers, politicians with a personal agenda, or bored rich men.

If Swain’s hearing something, just a guess...It’s possibly Marke Hocke from Texas A&M...just don’t know how bad Jimbo Fischer wants to keep him.

Hocke served under current Alabama strength and conditioning coach Scott Cochran, who’s had several guys leave over the years to upward successes.
When Kirby Smart took the head coaching job at Georgia he brought Hocke (to Head up S&C). For whatever reason that didn’t work out and Hocke moved to Florida State (as Assistant S&C) after one season with Georgia. Then, Sumlin brought him over to A&M to head up the program.

Again, just a guess, not sure if he’s a program changer...but his resume looks good, and his speaking seems coach em’ up football-style as well:

I like that Pruitt is not announcing staff officially until all complete. It allows flexibility in potentially shuffling responsibilities if the right people become available...though we'd like to see the official final list.

Good point. I was trying to think why he wasn't officially doing that. And I'm sure the new 10th coach throws a monkey wrench into things as well, as that's another "title" that's a little unconventional.

I'm unsure what programs will do with the new 10th assistant. You could add a second OL coach, or a second DL coach or a second LB coach or a second DB coach (one for safeties), or a strictly QB coach...just wondering how that'll work out...

Vic Viloria is my guess now that Charles Kelly is on staff. Already put his house on the market in Tally... So he is either heading to Texas A&M or Tennessee most likely.

He has been the FSU S&C Coach since 2010 and is widely considered one of the best in the nation.

Obviously would love Cochran to come on board, but Vic is a close 2nd IMO.

How can we get to excited about pruit.....afterall he was our 11th choice. Not 1 not 2 but 11. Lets be honest, gundy to cutt to mullin all turned us down. We did not get an experienced head coach we got an assistant again. No proof yet.
